Renovate this Secrets, please!
First and foremost, I want to make clear that the frontline employees did their very best to make our stay enjoyable. They work hard and deserve to be treated respectfully, by tourists AND the management. The condition of the resort was not great. There are signs of deferred maintenance all over (peeling paint, non functioning pool showers, peeling stain, cracked pavement, etc.). We were in the St James Preferred Club and when we got there, there was a pervasive smell of mold or rot in the lobby and elevators which was there the entire trip. The first room we were assigned smelled of mold or sewage and we asked for a change, which was accommodated. This deferred maintenance speaks to ownership that does not wish to invest. Skip El Patio and go to Blue Mountain, Bordeaux or Portofino for dinner instead. The breakfast and lunch buffets had plenty of options. Hop over to Breathless for dinner at Altitude.

Our Home away from Home
From the time we arrived at Sangster Airport, we were treated like we were returning home. Such a nice warm welcome! Aside from the beautiful, well-maintained property, the people at the resort truly make you want to return to the Island. They are so kind and always wanted to make sure we were good and having a good time! The entertainment crew was so much fun!! Sky, Imani and the rest of the crew truly made our vacation memorable! Thank you guys! We loved to see a local vendor on the property making and selling handmade unique wooden beautiful pieces. We were able to purchase a couple unique pieces to take home. Our vacation was Amazing from beginning to end. We will need to call out, our bed was a bit worn-out and uncomfortable. It truly needs to be replaced.

This was my first time at an all inclusive resort and first trip to Jamaica. From the moment you pull up to the entrance of the resort, there is an air of comfort and welcoming that makes you feel safe. The only thing that I had a complaint about was the no response to my request for someone to reset the safe in the closet. We weren’t able to use it for 3 days. Also, it is a double occupancy room but there was only 1 robe and that was also not honored. Over all, food and stay was excellent.

From the minute we arrived at the property the entire staff were friendly cheerful and very accommodating. Check in was fast and easy the VIP desk staff were very friendly and always helpful. Every staff member we passed throughout the entire property always said hello. Interactions with every staff member from the life guards, housekeepers, bartenders, restaurant staff and store workers were friendly, and they seemed to genuinely care if you were having a good stay. Would definitely go back.

I absolutely loved my stay at Secrets. It is not my first time and it will NOT be my last time. From the Jerk Pork at Barefoot Grill to the Oxtails at Blue Mounting and the ackee and saltfish for breakfast. The entertainment was also top knotch. The room had viable Rusty and old fixtures. The telephone looked like something from 1980. The front door wood like the wood finishing was VERY old and worn down polish or wasn't ever polished. The resort roofs was falling apart. The pool water was dirty. The pool trim looked like mildew and mold. The pavement dirty. The towels were very old. The furniture in the resort was old and wore down. My bedroom had bedbugs we noticed.on the last night. The room didn't have not bar. The lobby was not welcoming very old not maintained
