The rooms are tastefully decorated and the breakfast area is well stocked and very useful. The owners are putting their heart and soul into making this place special.

We enjoyed a few lovely days in Gros Morne recuperating from rainy hikes in the Candlelight Inn. Our room was very comfortable, and the common kitchen and living room were filled with helpful instructions and amenities. Breakfasts were self serve but included a great assortment of food.

A small inn with hands on owners. Kitchen well stacked for a light breakfast - make your own, with precooked oatmeal as well. It was chilly on our days there so we did not make use of the party shed out back, but a good add on for the guests. Place is well looked after as are the guests.

This was a stay beyond what we were expecting because of the thoughtful hosts and beautiful views from the back property. Many common areas both inside and out have been created for guests to relax, have a coffee or drink and enjoy some down time after hikes nearby. The daily breakfast had many delicious options to either sit down with or pack up. The location was also excellent- easy to find and right on the water, with many trails nearby, and restaurants and a lively pub were walkable. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful hosts, breakfast and location on sea front just a few minutes walk to centre of Rocky Harbour. Great for sunsets behind Lobster Head Lighthouse.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Candlelight Inn. The owners have put so much thought into making every guest feel comfortable, with many thoughtful touches throughout the property. The Inn is beautiful, cozy, and welcoming, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect in the heart of Rocky Harbour, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other amenities. We especially appreciated having access to the well-equipped kitchen each morning to make breakfast. It had everything we needed, including to-go cups for coffee and tea, which was a wonderful bonus before heading out for the day. The owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Candlelight Inn to anyone visiting the area.

Really awesome hosts, modern clean feel and look. All the amenities and items you would want. Best breakfast EVER! Really better than any hotel we’ve stayed at and really recommend staying for a few nights.

Lovely hosts! Great place to take a break and spend a day walking the shoreline, quite the rock collection on the beach ;) if you like collecting rocks, kept me busy all afternoon. Wonderful little homestyle Diner down the main street, a few minutes walk. Hiking trails everywhere surrounded by Ocean, can’t go wrong.

This converted church is beautifully renovated. The rooms are large and very well appointed. Breakfast was a wide range of options all home made. Michael and April gave us many ideas on what to do and where to eat in Rocky Harbour. I would recommend this Inn to everyone I know! Bob and Cathy from Port Perry Ontario

The location near town center and beside the sea is excellent. We especially liked the breakfast area which was bright, spacious and allowed easy contact with fellow guests. April and Michael also make delicious breakfasts to order. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was really comfortable too. We liked the Adirondack chairs facing the bay.

We had an amazing stay at The Candlelight Inn. Mike and April are incredible hosts who have truly thought of everything. The breakfast is the perfect way to fuel up for a day of hiking and sight-seeing. There is a ton of information laid out on local activities, restaurants, and events. And Mike and April are happy to provide recommendations on the best ways to explore the area. Can't say enough good things - definitely stay here. You won't regret it!

It did not feel like a B&B. The Candlelight Inn was like being home away from home but more comfortable. If all Inns were like this, I will forget about staying at hotels. It should have its own 5-Star rating. Thank you April and Michael.

We loved our stay at the Candlelight Inn. Checking in was easy and we really enjoyed the location. The amenities in the bathrooms were lovely and really added to the experience :) We made use of the fantastic breakfast and sat out by the fire pit even though there was a fire ban. The property is quiet but cozy. Our only issue was our room was on the second floor, and with no air conditioning it was extremely warm to sleep. We had a small ceiling fan but it was so loud neither myself or my friend were able to sleep. We turned the bathroom fan on to try to drown out the ceiling fan which helped a bit. Another thing that should be noted is the property is directly in front of a cemetery (between the house and the ocean) which may be problematic for some folks and should probably be more clear in the description/photos. Otherwise we had a lovely time!
