This is not the hotel it's more like motel/hostel.

The location is nice but lot of construction right in front of place and super noisy on street facing. it's not the hotel it looks like Motel. Not worth the price. They run on law staff for Breakfast in the morning. The standard room and bathroom are too small and crowded.

8/10 Very good

Great Hotel to visit Pyramids

Perfect location for a pyramids visit. Very Noisy area though as the roads are chaotic. The staff were all brilliant and went over and above to help us out when we had a family medical issue, even sending a member of staff with us to the hospital to translate. Rooms are small but convenient and clean, Rooftop Restaurant is nice and cheap with a good selection, and incredible views No other reason to stay in the area though unless you want to venture to the chaos of Giza itself.

Gaia Pyramids Hotel was an absolute mess. The night of arrival our room was not even ready and they made us stay in another building without the amenties we paid for. The second and third night were okay and the fourth day they made us move to a hotel via a taxi because there was an electrical problem in the building with also not the amneities we paid for. They declined to refund no matter how much we complained. This company shouldnt be hosting rooms for guest.

Disappointing / overbooked

We arrived at 4pm afternoon. At the reception they told us they were overbooked and didnt have space for us, tough i had booked this hotel more than 2 months ago (advanced paid too) - so they brought us to a different hotel which was a downgrade. The staff there did make an effort and the breakfast was nice but all together it was not the experience we hoped for. We ended up with three single beds tough i had booked a double bed. They blamed hotels.com/ expedia for their booking system tough i do think its poor behavoir from the hotel owner

We arrived early and was later told our room was not avaliable and that we were being located to another hotel which in my opinion was in a dirty area. This was our Anniversary trip and it turned into a disaster. I picked the room i wanted online and staff told me they have the choice to give guest whatever booking. The hotel they moved us to was noisy, room was not up to par, and i feel like our bags were gone thru. This was not the experience we were expecting.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Our flight was scheduled to arrive early in the morning (5am), so we booked and paid for an extra night (the day before arrival) so that we could check in right away and get some rest after a long trip. Even though I did inform the hotel our arrival date and time when booking, they told us there is no room available for us because we didn’t show up for the first night. We were very upset but waited patiently for 3 hours until they were able to get our room ready. They gave us various excuses but we were so tired and just wanted to check in. While waiting in the lobby, I witnessed at least 4 guests complaining about room flooding, shuttle bus didn’t show up etc. The room they gave us was completely different than my reservation. I booked Deluxe Quadruple Room with Mountain View but what I got was a small window with another building right next to it and two single beds. I don’t usually complain when I travel but I was beyond disappointed so went to talk to the receptionist. They told me single bed is called queen in Egypt and the pictures shown in Expedia (two queen beds with balcony with Pyramids view) for the room are a system error. This hotel is a complete scan. Please do not waste your money on this hotel. The receptionists act friendly but they do not care about guest at all.

My vacation/anniversary at The Gaia hotel was a complete disaster!!! Before we left the states to go to the Gaia, I read the reviews like we all do and saw some people talk about how they were being sent to other hotels upon arriving to Egypt to go to the Gaia. I called the Gaia to voice our concerns about this and they assured us that this was an isolated incident and we had nothing to worry about and our reservations for the Jr. suite is good. When we arrived to Egypt, the hotel sent a driver to pick us up from the airport. The driver then proceeds to take us to another hotel called the Shadow Inn. This is at 1am and on our anniversary. We were angry and hurt. We complained to the front desk at the Shadow hotel and called and complained to the Gaia. We explained that this is wrong and that we’re Americans trying to enjoy their country. Their response was the suite that we reserved at the Gaia had water damage and electrical problems. This was a lie and made matters worst. They offered to let us stay at this hotel. What choice did we have??? We stayed there for 2 nights. On the 3rd night, they called and said our room was ready. At this point, what did it matter?? We only had one more night in Egypt. We decided to go to the Gaia. The Customer service manager decided to speak to us. She admitted that the truth was that they overbooked and blamed Expedia for the mixup. That sounded like another lie. Take caution when booking at the Gaia.

Probably the worst experience of my life! The hotel has a convenient location right in front of the Pyramids. The main problem is that you can't trust this property. I was careful enough to call in advance informing that he was traveling with two small children and that he would arrive very late. Well, the experience couldn't have been worse. when we arrived we were given a room that did not match the reservation. Then they evicted us, informing us that they had put us in by mistake and gave us a room where we didn't fit. when we wanted to go back to the wrong starting room (which at least was spacious) they started lying and making up different excuses. alternatively, about 2 hours after we arrived (at 5am!!!) they offered as an alternative to stay at another hotel in the group several minutes away. After much insistence and dismantling the lies, we slept in the wrong initial room. They promised that the room reserved and paid for would be free the next day. guess what happened? they lied again and we were deceived. Afraid of what they could do, we decided to accept moving to another hotel in the Group. We arrived at the new hotel and unfortunately there was no water.it was nightmare. In a city like Cairo you can expect some challenges, but we felt it was too bad. despite the hotel being of a more modest range, the saving grace is the fact that we were very well treated by the staff at this second hotel, Shaddow Pyramids. For the first time in my life, 1 star

Scappate

Don't be fooled by the pictures - they're scammers

We had booked 1 night for New Year's Eve in the suite with a jacuzzi and a terasse overlooking the pyramids, several months in advance. I've read some bad reviews from previous guests saying they did not get the room they booked so I even whatsapped them 1 month before arrival to confirm our booking and that the pictures online of the room is what we will get. They said yes. Upon arrival and checkin they told us to wait a little without further explanation. When we asked why it took so long they said that the room we had booked was not available, but that they had a "room with similar standard and good view a couple minutes away from here", we said no we wanted our room, but they refused and kept saying they had electricity problems so that's why our room was not available. I asked to see the room with electricity problems but they couldn't show me, I think they doublebook as a strategy. With no choice, we took a look at the room they wanted to give us instead. It took 20 minutes to drive to their sister hotel and the room was awful, the view was also not good and it was really noisy outside. It was dirty and not at all the same standards. I contacted hotels.com to transfer me and in the process they refused to pick up the phone from hotels.com that tried to settle the case with them. Thankfully we managed to transfer to another hotel through hotels.com but I would not ever risk bookig there again. Trust the negative reviews, it's not worth it to risk ruin your holiday!

Siamo arrivati alle 2 del mattino in struttura, li avevo avvisati più volte che sarei arrivata tardi. All'arrivo ci chiedono documenti e prenotazione.
