The staff at the hotel and at the cafe were both very nice and accommodating. The property itself could use some upgrades but the rooms were clean and as expected in a small rural town. One of the doors next door to my room looked like it had recently been kicked in.

Nice. Basic but clean and quiet. Breakfast is in the little Bear Cafe. Great choices - good banana bread. Staff were friendly and personable. Clear instructions for breakfast. Staff at the cafe were excellent. Lots of towels, sparkly clean bathtub.

This motel is definitely for the local trucker or someone passing through. Don’t expect any bells or whistles. Good big comfy bed. Value for money if you are not after an experience or being pampered.

We showed up for check in and no one was here even though we got here at 9:30 and it said to come before 10. We had to go across the parking lot to the Esso. The parking lot was rowdy and make me nervous. The tv channels didnt work, so we couldnt watch anything.

Pro - Staff was excellent to deal with, check in and out was easy and done efficiently. Easily and quickly adressed any requests we had. Con - Room temp was turned all the way down (12 degrees in the winter) when checked in. The electric baseboard heaters take a very long time to warm up the room when its set that low. I understand the conseravtion of energy when the room is not in use, but the room should have been set up accordingly that morning. Overall, would stay there again. :)

Disappointing
Room was old, toilet was leaking, bathroom fan that turns on when light is on sounded so loud like it was gonna explode, tv remote was broken, very loud, bed shook when people walked past room, and at 11pm I woke up to the hotel phone ringing to be asked if I drive a black truck or know anyone at the hotel that drives one which was very maddening to be awoke for this when they have a paper you fill out when checking that you say your vehicle make model and licence number.
