I love White Sand Beach Resort. I have been here many times in many different seasons and this time it was clearly out of season and quiet. A lone monkey visitor graces us with his presence on occasion. I love the fact that the huts are in the beach and a few steps from the sea. Yes, the huts are plain and simple but everything you need is there. You can sleep to the sound of the waves and wake to the same sound. Sitting on the little verandah at night counting the light of the squid boats on the horizon is another pleasure. If you want more life it is just a walk away down the Long Beach for more restaurants and fire show action. Alternatively, you can arrange a lift into town at the reception. Staff are really sweet and very keen to please. It remains a favourite of mine.

We had a little trouble with the water pressure in the shower. Staff fixed it. Great staff here, great food, great beach. Access road is very steep, it's a bit of a walk to reach stores, other restaurants. Great for privacy.

This resort is a throw back to times past when backpackers stayed in 100 baht bunglows. However, these are far newer and better constructed. In addition, all the modern luxuries such as air con and television are included. They don't build resorts like this anymore in Thailand.

The location is the best & quietest part of white sands beach - right at the Northern end. I love it. Some people will not like it as it's approx 20 mins to walk along the beach to town. Road is much further & a taxi possible but not easy. Our beach hut is right on the beach - 10 meters from the sea! Accommodation is basic but clean. If you want new & luxury you will not find it here.....Receptionist and manager speak English & are helpful. Perfect for a couple looking for a quiet location and happy to walk into town.

Exactly what you would expect
As the other reviews say. It is down a very steep slope. If you accept that and that it is a beach hut resort then, it is exactly what it says. Like everything on Koh Chang currently it’s a bit worn however I spent two very relaxing days here and wouldn’t change a thing. Apart from other huts not turning their lights off at night.

I lost my phone in the city, and I was thinking that the people at the front desk would help me to locate it, but they were really no help and this went on for about two days. Then I took matters into my own hands, which should’ve been done the day before, I went and made a police report and when I The resort the guy told me that your phone is gone. You’re never gonna see it again and he was very rude to me and yelled at me and stuff like that and he told me that I had no right to go to 7-Eleven and check the cameras like the police told me to do, so I don’t know why he told me that so I went back to 7-Eleven anyway check the cameras the taxi I left my phone in and then I went outside to the taxi and told them I lost my phone. Did anybody find a phone? sure enough they did and it was delivered to me in 20 minutes , and then when I get back to the resort, the manager just said well that yesterday here and I don’t know the exact logistics of finding Phone they should’ve helped me out some more so I really do not recommend this place at all. Plus, it’s really hard to get to the staff very rude.

I stayed one night out of five. Rats under my beach bungalow, rubbish at back of resort, dead cockroach in toilet and rusty water outlet that was broken. Given a power extension on with bare wires, breakfast was awful.. there was cats in and out the kitchen and one of the staff was seen lifting it up and putting it inside a drinks cooler and closing the door on it. I have photos. You used to be able to go through Rock Sands resort/bar and diner but it’s almost abandoned and looks awful. You need to almost walk two planks where there looks to have been a landslide. It’s almost impossible to get the the rest of white sands and certainly not if you are a little older. I booked else where and received a refund. Never ever be back!

Thé property enjoys a favourable position on the best beach on Koh Chang. The reason for my dissatisfaction was threefold. 1. The reception staff had little knowledge of English making it almost useless. 2. The bedding was not changed at changeover which I found disgusting. 3. The internet is virtually useless. The whole property is desperately in need of investment particularly the boardwalks and restaurant deck which are dangerous.. The closure of the small shop makes it very inconvenient for such a relatively isolated position. Unless these issues are resolved I cannot recommend this resort and will not be staying again. Yövyimme bungalowissa, ei merenrannalla. Luultavasti nämä bungalowit hieman vanhempia kuin rannalla olevat tai siltä ainakin näyttivät ulospäin. Lämmin suihku, mikä oli ihanaa. Rauhallinen ja kiva ranta. Toki hieman kaukana kaupoista ja ravintoloista, mutta rantaa pitkin kävelemällä ei ”kylille” kävellyt kun noin 15-20minuuttia. Taksit pyysivät matkasta hieman enemmän, koska tietä pitkin pitää ajaa vuorostossa ja matka-aika pitenee. Aamupala oli oikein hyvä. Hyvä palvelu respassa.
