Old hotel with character. Recent new management, very friendly staff with lovely craft beers on offer. Didn't try the food, but most tables were reserved, so a good sign !

Pub staff are super helpful and friendly. The WiFi in the guest room and breakfast room is totally inaccessible. Be sure to get your WIfi from the Pub area.

Perfect for a couple of nights visiting family
No issues at all, very clean, easy check-in, only slight issue is the wi-fi is very hit and miss, but then its an old building, was only an issue as my mobile provider thats between 2 & 4 has next to no signal in Wells, but that a Wells thing I was aware of. Also there is no parking at the hotel but there are various car parks around. Will definitely consider again next time we are down in Wells.

Good location and breakfast
The hotel is in a good spot in Wells. We found our room a little disappointing and very cramped. Our window opened onto the courtyard, but the lights were very bright all night. Wifi did not work in the room and the TV also didn't work, which were a bit disappointing. The employees were quite cheerful and the breakfast was very good.

The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a bit of a musty odour on entering the room although the building is quite old and the fabric probably characteristic of being a little damp? This did not detract from our stay, in any way though - we slept well and breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect and parking at the public car park behind Good Earth was only £7 for 24 hours and around a five minute walk to the hotel. Staff were also excellent.

From the moment we arrived the staff (Ty) made us feel so welcome. We stayed in Wells for 2 nights as a stopover before heading to North Devon. The rooms was clean and tidy and had all the facilities we could wish for and great value for the price. The staff was fantastic especially Ty who was extremely helpful with local knowledge and placed to visit. Breakfast was great you could have anything from Full English to Continental. Would definitely stay again.
