Very comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast and a good restaurant. Very new and clean. But it’s a bit out of town so best with a car.

Set in an isolated location in the Black Forest, this Guest House was one of the best we had ever stayed in. Yes, you need a car to find it, but its worth it. On arrival, the car park was full by locals who were using the restuarant that had an excellent reputation. Greeted by the owner who showed us to our room. It was very large and had a seating area and bedroom. The only critism I have was that there was no kettle, coffee etc. Would I recommend this Guest House, most definately.

The location was perfect - lovely hotel in the country. The aesthetics of the hotel suited the locale. The food was superb and the dining ambience (both inside and outside) made for an even better gastronomic experience. The family are professionals in service. The room was ok. There were 3 things I was not so comfortable with: - there were only 2 shade curtains which were not wide enough to span the windows so facing the east, sunlight crept in too early. - There was a tv but way too large...

This hotel was second to none ,we arrived early from strasbourg, the lady who owned hotel gave us a room right away and a map and told us where we could park in Freiburg for shopping ,when we came back later she gave us directions into mountain and forest which is amazing ,the hotel was lovely ,the room very cosy and homely,very quiet ,breakfast plentiful, the girl asked us if we would like scrambled or boiled egg, the lady owner spoke great English ,which was a great help as we were Scottish...

Very welcoming staff

Really nice hotel with a good underground car park that was very secure. Friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed room and a good size. Bed was too firm for me though!

Used the hotel as a base to travel the Blackforest. Clean and tidy hotel with a lovely swimming pool. Breakfast also very nice. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

While I enjoyed my stay, and don’t get me wrong, the rooms are perfectly ok but could do with freshening up and I’m only saying this because if they would match the Michelin-class food, this could be a serious destination for foodies in the Black Forest, which is blessed with great food anyway, but suffers in losing winter tourism due to the declining snow season. Great Hotel

We had a fantastic week here with our extended family, facilities and service was superb from concierge to dining. Would highly recommend and definitely go back.

everything about the hotel was super. the food was really excellent. we took the set menu option but wanted soup instead of salad. and they were great about it and did not even charge extra. Breakfast was really good lots to choose from. the staff went out of their way to help us. I left my phone behind and they were good about it and arranged to send it back. We would be delighted if they would have us back The bed was really comfortable we have a special car and parking was important...

Charming hotel, excellent continental breakfast. Evening meal freshly cooked with local ingredients. Owners were friendly and had lots of local knowledge.
