I absolutely love Salalah. There are some wonderful things to do in and around the city. But it is also a place I go to for extreme relaxation if I don't feel like doing anything. There are some amazing beaches too!

Preserves the vibes of a small town, which can be explored by walking about (unlike Muscat), with exceedingly friendly people. Also, the beach at Salalah is amazing!

We did a half day tour on Friday morning so a bit limited as weekend. However it was very enjoyable - not sure what the town has for tourists beyond that and a world class beach.
