Poor response following upset stomach
A stay with my wife and unfortunately I had an upset stomach (I suspect food poisoning). I had dinner at an event at the hotel. I received a follow-up call from a manager (3 days later), and they were more interested in justifying that it couldn't have been their fault than any real human response. Even asked if I'd been to the GP to get a test to prove that it was food poisoning, as if any GP in the NHS would have the time to entertain such a request. Clearly out of touch. I might go back, but I wouldn't eat there again and certainly wouldn't waste my time with any follow-up call

Restful.
The room was spacious and the bathroom great. Service was brilliant, nothing at all to complain about. Alas, there was a domestic incident in the room next door one night but this has nothing to do with the hotel. The staff reacted quickly and dealt with it well. Will definitely go back on future visits to Aberdeen.

Royal Deeside Break
Amazing hotel, great food and good facilities but did need a car to go anywhere. We couldn’t walk down to the river which we had hoped we could, the hotel grounds were nice but didn’t include the river :( and no public transport to get into Aberdeen for a night out so taxi or driving and with a week long stay we did want to try out different venues for food. Location of hotel was great for getting out along Royal Deeside, into Aberdeen, down to Stonehaven and many other great places in the area.
