Had a great couple night stay. So close to great options of coffee shops, restaurants and Old San Juan. Douglas from the hotel was very helpful with knowledgeable information about the island if ever need.

My stay was a last minute book and only stayed for a few hours before my flight out of PR. The employee that helped me was super nice and I can’t complain. Everything I needed was close by. Perfect if you don’t have a car, parking is a nightmare in that area

Our room was clean and management was quick to respond to inquiries and resolve minor issues. We enjoyed the amenities provided including the kitchen area and shampoo/soap provided. The location was convenient with a pharmacy, supermarket, and many restaurants within walking distance. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend trying to request a rear facing or side facing room, as the apartment complex is located on a busy road. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

It was a third floor and no elevator hard to carry suitcases. Room is small good enough to just go sleep for a night and be near airport.

The stay was uncomfortable, no parking. we had issue with light flickering, tv did not work. after 20 minutes of watching the tv it would will turn on and off on its own. when we text guest services they said they only had maintenance from 6am to 10pm. Someone came to fix it as we were leaving. we came back to the room to relax and watch tv, it started happening again. when we texted again at 7pm they said they had no maintenance on property after 5pm. the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly at all. Their resolution for all of this was to give us an extra hour to check we ended up leaving and getting another hotel to stay in. They would not compensate us nor refund us some of our money. I would not recommend nor stay here again.

While this hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, supermarkets, and major highways leading to popular destinations, my stay was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was met by a host named Ashley, who responded rudely when I requested a resend of the email needed to access my apartment. Additionally, there was no assistance with my luggage; I had to carry it up three flights of stairs and enter through the back entrance. The cleanliness of the apartment was subpar, with dirt on top of the refrigerator and beneath the washing machine. Moreover, a bathroom glass panel nearly fell on me due to improperly installed hinges. Despite the area’s convenience, my overall experience at this establishment was extremely disappointing.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights on our way to another vacation. We found that it was conveniently located near restaurants and a supermarket. The complex was quiet, clean and well maintaned. Our unit had a small kitchenette with bar fridge and microwave and a few dishes. Bed was soft but comfortable. The pool area is nice. Small pool but good enough for cooling off. Nice comfortable lounging area around the pool. We spent a couple of hours there after checking out as we had a mid afternoon flight. It is an easy Uber into Old Town San Juan or the largest mall in the Caribbean "Plaza las Americas". The free bus stop into town is just around the corner (#21?) and takes only about 20 minutes. Walkable to a nice beach. Would stay again.

TLDR: Solo traveling woman. Definitely would stay again. And I highly recommend Ive been to PR a few times. This time I wanted to be more in the center of things while staying relatively affordable. I feel that La Mona Loíza did just that. Simple accommodations, the place was clean and cute. Centrally located. I could walk to condado and Old San Juan & isla verde were less than a 10 min ride away. Plenty of eateries on Calle Loíza and the apartment complex is right near a 24 hr grocery store. Really you can’t beat the location and price. Staff were helpful. I arrived early and while they couldn’t do an early check in they were able to lock my things in the office so I could explore while I waited. I travelled solo and stayed in a 1 bed suite with the kitchenette. Plenty of space for me. Also the main entrance door locks and requires a code to open so that made me feel secure once I entered the building.

Lovely place to stay right on Calle Loiza with everything you would want within walking distance. It’s also a short direct bus ride from SJU. Bedding was comfortable, bathroom was clean, very quiet at night and safe. I would definitely return 😊
