Comfy and clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful and called us a taxi to the airport. Good situation in the centre of Madrid (although this means it was a bit noisy when people were out partying but that’s to be expected) My only critique is that although they have invested in smart TVs for the rooms, mine had a bad connection to the WiFi so I couldn’t watch anything on it

On a busy street but that didn't provide a problem The staff were always pleasant Our room was clean ( cleaned on request ) and comfortable Unfortunately when someone else nearby was using a shower nearby, the water pipes became screechy The toilet was very small. The toilet seat was next to shower If someone has mobility issues, getting in and out of the shower may be difficult Overall the hostal provided an adequate stay

Delightful Hostal
This hostel was EXCELLENT. All the friends with me wanted to stay longer and want to return with their family members. The rooms were a bit small but totally adequate and very delightful. The hostel is in a very convenient and walkable place in the center of Madrid.

I liked the privacy, the quiet and the complete but basic provision of all that is needed to enjoy good nights of sleep and easy morning showers. One note: would probably be good to install non-slip no skid surfaces on the bath tub floors for safer showering.

Pros - Very clean! Felt safe. Easy walk to Thyssen and Prado. Quiet. Cheap, Cons - hostal up a few floors in a tiny apartment building with an uninviting entrance and smoky stairwell. Once you get past the apartment section of the building and into the hostal, the air is fresh. Unfortunately the twin bed was foam and very uncomfortable. Also a long winding hall takes you to the room and seems like it might be hard to get out in case of fire. Loved the location but not sure I would stay again.
