In order to secure reservation, asked for $450 hold on credit card, and an ONLINE PHOTO of credit card and Driver’s License. Found this SUPER SHADY and would’ve cancelled as soon as they asked for this but the reservation was “non-refundable” and they would not give my money back.
Got to property, picked up keys, parking spot full, were given new one on other level after walking back to key pickup location to get help. Room had broken screen, broken closet door, walls full of marks. Garbage in en-suite bathroom, and towels looked like they had been rented from a prison laundry. Carpet in hallways and unit were filthy and flooring was cracked/lifting in places.
The best part came when we tried to leave and found out that our key fob would not allow us access to the parking spot they gave us for the car so we had to “bother security”-something they advised us not to do in the checkin instructions-to get access to our own car.
Location was convenient-with water view and park nearby-as well as amazing brunch restaurant, “The Morning After” literally outside the front lobby; however, there is no polishing this turd.
I will be watching my credit card carefully to ensure these people return the deposit, as I have read in review that they’re slow in doing so. Took pics of whole unit when I entered as I don’t want the shabby conditions to be blamed on me. Steer clear.
