Unique accommodations with great food! Very pricey for little amenities, but nice overall

The room was nice. View is great. The restaurant was good
Anna, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The staff were so friendly and helpful!! Other reviews have complained about the walk to the rooms, but rides are available via golf cart. Zara made the best drinks in the bar!
Tracy, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A very special and unique place! Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Lots of fun riding up to the cabin on a golf cart. Very nice restaurant for breakfast and we had a wonderful dinner there the first night. Cabins are very thoughtfully designed and beautiful. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. Easy to walk into town (although we had trouble finding a place to have dinner without reservations!) Nice bookstore in town also. Would love to stay again, highly recommended!

10/10 Excellent

This was one of the most beautiful hotels and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend doing the breakfast as it was fantastic and perfect before we set off to explore Isle of Skye for the day. I cannot recommend this place enough. Every staff member was amazing and so friendly!

Beautiful design, great breakfasts, friendly staff, great views! I loved the little cabins all spaced apart from one another.

Staff and service were great. Bungalow was perfect. Would be a little out of the way if you’re walking but not undo able.
Melony, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

We stayed in one of the pods high up on the hill at Bracken Hide Hotel. The view out over Portree and the harbour was fantastic. We were glad that the pod was air conditioned as the weather was quite hot. The pods are very new and modern. The walk up to the pod on a gravel path was fairly strenuous but you can get a ride in a golf buggy which is essential with luggage. But be warned the buggy doesn’t seem to be available all the time. Also it would great if the dining room where we had our breakfast was air conditioned as it was very hot in the mornings. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great time.
David, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

The little cabins were cute, but incredibly stuffy and with lots of midges flying around (so we were unable to use the patio or open a door. It would’ve been great to have a small window to get air moving. Also, the large window/door looked out onto the main path, so we had very little privacy. The sauna/pool and restaurant were also closed so
Heidi, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

The cosy cabin was clean and quiet located on hill. The main lodge was modern and comfortable. It was about a mile from the small town of Portree. While I did enjoy my stay, I felt it was very overpriced.
April, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Clean, quiet, great breakfast. Our pod was very distant from main building. Walking in the rain back and forth was a little inconvenient. Overall, great stay.
Pauline, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The views and location is amazing. The breakfast and dinner was one of the best we had in Scotland on our 15 day trip!!
Shannon, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The little units were well equipped with a bed and bathroom, air conditioning, TV etc. The units are small but it was such an interesting experience so would highly recommend. The restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was well done and dinners were top notch. My only complaint was the main hall was warm but other than that it was well done.
Michael, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Cozy, comfortable and quiet. Main facilities were great after long days of hiking. Quick drive to downtown.
Lynn, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Room was not clean. Room was not made up after first night. Shower drain was clogged and it was not repaired even after reporting it after the first night.
Roberto, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Hotel was close enough to walk to the city but distant enough to where you could enjoy the peace. Staff was very nice and helpful with our stay. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly while they were attending to us. Would recommend to others to stay here.
Ann, 1-night trip

This is a one-of—a-kind property. Well worth the expense. Staff are exceptional. Dining was first class. Bed exceptionally comfortable. Great stay

This has been our favorite place we have stayed. You are well taken care of. The staff is sooooo friendly. The food is impeccable. We will definitely be back.
Karlie, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Not 4 Star. Way too expensive. Pathways to pods, rocky and uneven. Breakfast, can't think of one that was worse. Plus, Staff were friendly and helpfull.
Adam, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

Overall the cabin is very nice with great views. The food is amazing. There are a few little things that were missed, that would've made the place exquisite. After check-in, we found an empty bottle of body wash and almost empty shampoo bottle. We got a half-empty bottle from the front desk that was never replaced during the 3 nights stay. The walk to the top cabin was long and steep. There are not enough instructions in the room or available at the desk for opertaing the heat/AC and the in-room safe.
Ibrahim, 3-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Our room, cabin, was all the way on top of hill and we had to walk up a gravel road to get there. We were not aware of that, I had knee problem and could not walk up. They gave us instead the smallest cabin with no space to move or store anything and the install shower would not drain.
Shahin, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Hideaway on an Isle of Skye Hillside

Really unique accommodations. Very quiet and private "hides" or huts tucked on a hill overlooking beautiful Skye landscapes. A central building with an awesome dining room, bar and game/relaxing area is steps away. Check-in was fast and easy with friendly and professional staff. Only meals we ate here was breakfast and it was great. Service was great. Coffee was great. Poached eggs on avocado toast was great. Fruit and croissants were also great. Just a 10-12 minute stroll to Portree Harbor. Highly recommend.
