Overall, the hotel was lovely. Incredible view. Friendly staff. The food was amazing. Rooms were clean. Pool area was very nice. However, this place had many children - families from Europe. Most used the pool during the day and were extremely loud. And then during the evening dining experience, since it wasn't a large place, the children were loud during dinner. The loudness became a theme of the stay. For a solo traveler, this was a bit annoying. If you aren't going to be around during the day and have your own transportation, this place is great. I did walk down to a local restaurant and to the beach - it was super quiet. The walk back up the hill is steep but not that bad.

Perfect place to go to Portsmouth. The staff and owners are so incredibly accommodating and nice. They really made our stay the best! It also had a personal touch without feeling forced. Good and pleasant small hotel. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice swimming pool, reasonably good restaurant, great sunset view from the little terrace in front of my room. My WiFi worked perfectly, as did the AC and fridge. Did not try the tv. Shower and towels may need an upgrade in some years.

We loved the location and views over the sea. The owners and their staff were all wonderful. So friendly and kind. It felt like chatting friends. We ate there every evening as every meal we had was excellent and very delicious. Breakfasts everyday were very good with a nice choice of eggs. The pool is small but perfectly adequate for a swim and cool down. The decking area and sunloungers around the pool were lovely. I had a nice day flopping there. The pool water was quite cold though. We would look to staying here again, should we return to Dominica as we enjoyed it so much
