Not Luxury?
Our room was advertised as a 2 bedroom luxury suite, but I felt that the word LUXURY should not have been used. The rooms were clean, we had no complaints about the comfortable beds and lovely bedding,, but the decor was tired. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, which when you are travelling are useful. They need to include instructions in the room on how to use the microwave, tv, music system and air conditioning unit. I felt the cost of room was too expensive for what you got.

Lake Taupo Motor Inn for the Win!
Last minute decision to stay in Taupo for the night instead of carrying on, have stayed here before quite a few times so knew it was a great place anyways, and was a good deal for the night! Friendly staff, easy parking, clean comfortable rooms, walkable to town for a meal etc. Would recommend and will be back!
