Batu Bolong
Batu Bolong blends beachside bliss with bohemian energy at Bali's hippest coastal hangout. Surfers ride waves at the namesake beach while digital nomads tap away in stylish cafes. The ancient temple perched on rocky cliffs offers a cultural counterpoint to trendy beach clubs where sunset-chasers gather daily. Yoga sessions between rice paddies remind you this isn't just any beach town. Finding your perfect spot is easy with options from $3 warung meals to farm-to-table dining. Scooter rentals are the transport of choice, though the core area works for walking despite uneven paths. Accommodation range from surf hostels to luxury villas, many featuring pools and co-working spaces.

Ride the legendary waves at Echo Beach, where surfers of all levels catch breaks against a backdrop of volcanic sand. Digital nomads tap away at laptops in bamboo-built cafes serving acai bowls and flat whites with equal reverence. Rice paddies still stubbornly persist between yoga studios and beach clubs where sunset sessions blend into night with international DJs. Batu Bolong Beach offers gentler surf for beginners before rewarding efforts with beachfront tacos. The once-sleepy village now pulses with an international crowd seeking the perfect balance of wellness and nightlife. Berawa Beach's black sand provides dramatic contrast to colourful beach umbrellas, while nearby Tanah Lot temple sits majestically offshore, proving that sacred and social can coexist beautifully.

ZIN Canggu Resort & Villas
"Great idea to create this hotel wellness concept , food was lazing and few step from the beach . A little more ventilation in the bathroom would have make the stay perfect but loved it"
Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu by IHG
"Excellent. Best hotel so far in Bali. Clean. Great staff. Great food. Great location."
COMO Uma Canggu
"It was a pretty basic room, but the lovely toiletries and excellent service sure made up for it! The spa was amazing, a must do when you are here!"
Sunny Muse by Betterplace
"Super belle hôtel"
Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu
"Its the 2nd time we stay here and it was again a great experience. Thanks,"
Canggu Cabana Beach Resort by Ini Vie Hospitality
"Absolutely beautiful hotel in a quiet location - but close enough to lots of great bars/restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff are absolutely exceptional and made the stay completely fabulous. The only thing to note is that there are a lot of stairs (eg. from bedroom to bathroom, but also around the complex) so it wouldn't necessarily be suitable for anyone with mobility issues."
The Soul House Bali
"highly recommend staying here - we loved everything about our stay. the staff so friendly & helpful, great communication & nothing a problem for them. great location, comfortable rooms & beautiful property. cant wait to stay there again"
Echo Beach Villas 6
"Be far the absolute best hotel villa I ever book in my life! Highly recommend! And it was super cheap for what you get 🙌😎"
The Kirana Canggu Hotel
"Great location for the Canggu area, close to the beach and lots of food and shopping within walking distance. Staff were lovely and very helpful, the Balinese culture was felt and seen through the staffs kindness and courtesy. I would stay here again. Pros: location, breakfast is simple but worth the value, customer service, pool, clean room and property. Cons: dark rooms on the main/pool level units. The blinds need to be open for light but being on the main level, anyone can be right outside your door so privacy is affected. I recommend staying on a balcony unit to avoid this issue if it matters to you. Towels have a distinct smell, might need to reconsider what products are being used to wash these items. They're clean but don't look or smell the greatest. Overall this is a great accommodation in the Canggu area for solo travellers, families and everyone else!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Canggu
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Canggu is during February, March, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To make the most of your trip and fully appreciate the historical and cultural landmarks, as well as the stunning beaches, it's recommended to stay for at least 4 to 5 days. This duration allows you to explore attractions like surfing, relaxing on the black sand or sandy beaches, enjoying breathtaking sunsets, engaging in yoga, visiting temples, unwinding at spas, and even trying horseback riding. With such great value for money, Canggu is an ideal destination for those looking to experience its rich culture and natural beauty without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Canggu, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find attractive discounts as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive last-minute offers, ensuring you’re informed about potential savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if prices drop or new rooms become available, you could be the first to know and secure your getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a Canggu hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Canggu’s superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often commendable value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
