Cute Inn right on the lake.Adirondack chairs to sit by lake. Comfy room and bed. Clean bathroom, all linens smelled great. Restaurant and bar on premises.

Very clean and cozy place. They are not huge, what is better for a nice retreat. The bar and restaurant were very good, the staff were very kind. Not plenty of amenities, but the lake view es awesome

Lovely, peaceful, clean and welcoming place to stay. So close to Fort Drum, the Thousand Islands etc. Great restaurant on site. Beautiful lawn on the shore with lawn games available and chairs to sit and watch one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever seen. Relaxing visit. Highly recommend.

The owner and his sister could not have been nicer, the property is newly renovated, immaculate with great views of fun Tavern style bar and a great restaurant. Highly recommend it.

Location location… beautiful views. Gracious and accommodating dining staff. Food was great. The grounds were kid and kid at heart friendly. Outdoor games. The porch! I can’t say enough good things.

We walked in and the owner Steve V. greeted us, showed us to our room, explained how things worked, and was so friendly. It is the most beautiful location. The restaurant was great as well as the lake view and sunset. Do stay here if you have a chance.

Probably the most beautiful hotel during our trip. Newly refurbished, they've done a great job of creating calming , tasteful rooms. Good dinner in the restaurant. They happily accommodated our bike overnight. Serene lawns with adironaks going down to the lake. A perfect stay.

the inn was in a lovely area with pretty views of the water. Rooms were very comfortable and well decorated. The restaurant had a great menu and there are other nice restaurants nearby. the staff was very accomodating, Overall five stars!

Our stay at the Gill House was very comfortable. The location is wonderful- right on the lake, with lots of area to roam around. The view is great, and pleanty of chairs by the lake to relax in. The restaurant is good, and the staff friendly. My only negative comment is the size of our room. It was extremely small, along with the bath size. There is no room for a chair in the room, so the bed is the only place to sit. There are several much larger rooms, which would be preferred, and if we are in the area in the future, we will check these out.

Room was very nice but small (after all it’s an inn). Staff was kind of one person, pleasant but hard to find at times. Attached restaurant was great, food was great.mattress was a little softer than we are comfortable with. Don’t expect a breakfast, consisted of coffee and packaged breakfast bars

The place is text book Adirondacks... Chairs in back yard facing lake. Playing with the dog in the lake. Dinner was awesome. Alot of food.. Take your shoes off Go hug one of the big trees in the back . All most get a shock.. Nice. Bandit Loved it. We're headed back up for salmon ..

A Thursday night I called them on the way and told them that I would be coming after 8pm. And they askey me place an order for food as the kitchen will closing. I loved it, it was ready when I arrived! Fantastic And the room was great. Plus coffee was ready at 7am in the hallway. Great prices. All good 5* Thanks!

The Gillhouse recently was remodeled. The rooms have new carpet, bathroom tile, vanity, paint or wallpaper. The rooms had new HVAC systems, TVs, ceiling fans and new windows with the privacy shade built in. They room style is modern. The property is right on Henderson Bay with beautiful view of the bay from the back porches and restaurant. Since we stayed late or off season the Gillhouse was quiet. The owner, Steve, showed us to our room and how everything in the room worked. Steve was very proud of the work. The quick tour was a nice personal touch. We ate all our lunches and dinners at the Gillhouse. The food, drinks and service were great. Eating at the hotel made the stay very convenient. The views from the property are amazing. There are great state parks a short drive from the Gillhouse. We also visited Sackets harbor and Watertown which are a 20 minute drive. There are good fishing spots about every 5-10 miles on route 3. Two things that needed work. First, the new HVAC system went on and off, kept getting an E7 error. The system was set to heat and 68F. The in room unit would hum for a bit and then show E7. Second, even though the hotel was mostly empty we could hear everything. The room door didn't shut well. The lock worked fine but you could see the hall light around half of the door. I would definitely stay at Gillhouse again. The style, location, food, and views are excellent.
