8/10 Very good

Beautifully restored Manor House that feels more like a museum than a hotel. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate. Every nook and cranny of the hotel is packed with antiques and interesting artefacts. Very interesting but somehow rather unnerving too!
The only negative of our stay was dinner in the restaurant which was hideously overpriced - it was €100 for two very small main courses which consisted only of a fish fillet in a fresh sauce, no vegetables or side dishes. And two glasses of house wine. The food was nice but it really was tiny, and to be honest we had much better in local restaurants at literally a fraction of the price.
All in all, it's a very pleasant and interesting place to stay with wonderful staff - but sadly it was not really worth the high price tag.
