Needs a deep cleaning
This place is pretty worn. It looks like it could be nice, but it really needs a good cleaning. There was dirt on the walls in the bathroom, the tile floor was gritty, and it smelled of mildew. It does have a great view of the ocean and the sunset, but you can get that anywhere on the beach. It was ok, but I would look somewhere else until the condition of the rooms improves.

The only thing that is good about this hotel is the ocean proximity and view. 1) there is no breakfast included 2) the pool smells like urine 3) the front desk is only available after 11 a.m. 4) the room is old and sparsely furnished Not worth the $$$ even during high season

This was the perfect place for us to really enjoy the beach walking distance from our room. The staff was lovely, and the food at the restaurant was very very good. The sunset from the beach restaurant could not have been any better. The walk to the main avenue of tourist shops maybe takes 15-20 minutes, but walking along the beach makes it very pleasant.

Everything you need at the quiet end of the beach. Grounds are well maintained, room was comfortable with all the necessities, and staff is friendly. You have the option to dip your toes in the ocean or dip in the pool, eat great food on site, and have a great seat for the sunset.

Was advertised as a ‘good’ hotel. That is true. No more than that. More like a motel, not boutique hotel. Says daily maid service and bicycle rentals- neither of those existed. Had to ask for more toilet paper. Did not ask for maid service as we did not want it. Shampoo and shower gel available but no conditioner. No beach chairs available even though directly on the beach. Can walk to town but it is about .75 miles on the road or 0.5 on the beach. No specific area to wash sand off feet when returning. Restaurant staff friendly. Would probably stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel only has 5 rooms and a nice pool. The bar and restaurant are owned separately. The rooms were pretty funky but clean and the beds were good. What makes this such a great place is the proximity to the beach and the fantastic restaurant. We ate there every night and it was the best food we had for the $$ in Costa Rica. We loved it so much they brought the chef out to meet us! What a talented young man!!

Very nice location. Clean and safe. No seating/chairs in room makes it difficult to sit on bed for everything. Mattress sorly uncomfortable. Back pain developed during our stay. This hotel was small, only 5 rooms. We stayed for 15 nights. The room we had was really big and had everything we needed. The pool was right outside the door and the restaurant was just steps away. The food was excellent and had a superb view of the bay. The staff were all hard workers and ready to assist you with anything you needed. They all worked hard to keep this place in good shape and yes I would stay here again.
