    Tivoli Friheden is located on the outskirts of Marselisborg Forest (Marselisborg Skov) and is full of fun and games. Let the wind hit your face when you go on one of the wild rollercoasters, or go all-in and enjoy a candyfloss bigger than your head. Tivoli Friheden is a colourful place, where you can also enjoy a cosy afternoon with a big ice cream cone or coffee by the lake with the small motorboats. You can visit Tivoli in both summer and winter, and you can find outdoor concerts in the summer and the cosiest Christmas market in December.

    During this season, the whole park is lit up with Christmas lights, and you can share a picture snapped under the light tunnel. Don’t forget to take a picture in front of the entrance with the colourful tiles, which are characteristic of Tivoli Friheden.

This old castle, which dates back over 100 years, paints a beautiful picture from behind the tall trees, and you can admire it when walking through Memorial Park. The actual castle is not open, but when the royal family is not staying there, the beautiful castle park offers ample opportunities to get some great Instagram pictures. Take an enchanting walk through the English-inspired garden, with its rose beds, small lakes and trees. The queen’s great interest in art is also apparent from the numerous sculptures that you can find around the park.

    When the royal family is staying at the castle, the Royal Life Guards perform a changing of the guard at noon every day.

    Experience Godsbanen, the cultural gathering point in Aarhus. Godsbanen is a renovated goods station in Skovgårdsgade, and it is home to a wide selection of workshops, art exhibitions, markets, theatre and recitations. The open workshops are popular for ceramics, woodwork, photography, design, etc. The actual Godsbanen is decorated in an industrial style, which offers plenty of good photo opportunities. You can climb to the top of the architectonic roof, which strays from the usual norms, and get a view of Aarhus while the wind blows through your hair. Visit the Plant Café (Plantecaféen), where you can get the ultimate Instagram picture of hanging plants from the ceiling.
