The best restaurants in Sentosa Island are usually more associated with the beaches and theme parks. Sentosa now boasts a whole list of restaurants with Michelin star chefs plying their trade in their kitchens, many taking full advantage of fresh seafood products as well as some specially imported ingredients from around the world.

The emergence of several world-class, five-star hotels on Sentosa Island has, of course, boosted this emerging dining scene, with many resorts such as the Shangri-La and Singapore Resort and Spa both boasting a list of excellent eateries. We’ve also found a few great spots at the massive Resorts World Sentosa – not forgetting a couple of picturesque beachside restaurants.

For a little slice of Kampong Glam (Singapore’s predominantly Malaysian neighbourhood) right on Sentosa Island, look no further than Malaysian Food Street at the Bull Ring, inside Resorts World Sentosa. This tiny imitation street has pulled out at the stop to recreate that old-town charm so synonymous with the Kampong Glam neighbourhood, complete with hawker stalls, brightly painted shop houses and wooden tables and chairs to perch on awkwardly whilst tucking into your food.

As for what to eat, you’ll find everything Malay, from basic chicken and rice dishes to more exotic tastes such as satay sticks, noodle soups like laksa and fried omelettes with oysters. Prices are cheap for Sentosa, but not as cheap as the real deal across the water on the main Singapore Island.

SKIRT at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove

SKIRT at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove
    • Makanan

SKIRT is a posh steakhouse at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove Hotel, towards the east of the island. Those with a craving for some meat will love their sharing menu, which takes advantage of a range of fine cuts, including Blackmore Japanese Wagyu and Australian Tajima Wagyu beef – 2 particularly rare and expensive varieties. Almost more striking than the food, however, is the design of SKIRT.

Huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood in during the daytime, while the artsy hanging light features create a rather romantic setting at night. Seating arrangements are flexible, but those coming in groups should opt for one of the booths which are nice and cosy and great for that sharing menu. If you’re on a limited budget, SKIRT at W Singapore is probably not the place for you; their set menu starts from S$168 per person (minimum of 6 people).

    Blue Lotus @Sentosa Cove

    Blue Lotus @Sentosa Cove
    • Makanan

Blue Lotus @Sentosa Cove is a fine dining establishment at the modern Sentosa Cove. Also dubbed the Blue Lotus Chinese Eating House, this is actually a sister restaurant of the flagship Saint Pierre restaurant of the same company just a few minutes’ walk away. Rather than French, the flavours here are of course all Chinese, although Blue Lotus has certainly given traditional dishes more of a modern touch.

Examples of this include their borderline-fusion crispy Sichuan-style fish and chips, their Wagyu beef and foie gras fried rice and their range of other changing dishes take full advantage of fresh seafood like lobster and crab. Traditional red paper lanterns attempt at making the decor fit with the food, although the surroundings don’t wow us too much, leaving room for their inventive and delicious dishes to do all the talking.

Lokasi: #01-13 Quayside Isle, 31 Ocean Way, Sentosa Cove, Singapore

Tanjong Beach Club is the place to come for a chilled out beach party vibe as the sun sets over the lush Sentosa Beach. Don’t forget, however, that this (relatively) long-running Sentosa spot does some excellent beach grub too! They have an inside dining area if you want to escape the heat, though most diners prefer their alfresco seating space which boasts some great sea views and people watching opportunities.

The food is surprisingly fancy considering Tanjong Beach Club is more known for its parties, with dishes such as their lobster pie, roasted chicken and various pasta creations all going down well. Most mains are about S$25 but expect to pay much more if you go for the lobster or other items from the menu featuring expensive ingredients. Wash it all down with one of the signature mojitos or a glass of wine and you have yourself a hard-to-beat beach dining experience.
