This is a tiny, unique hotel, with a lot of charm. It is situated in the city, yet inside, you discover a glass covered belvedere which feels private and elegant. The rooms are really lovely and well equipped. The rooftop is open every day with a great view of Valletta. It is extremely quiet if you specify a quiet (inside) room when making a reservation.
The staff was exceptional! Their attention to detail was a great comfort. If you arrive late, there are lock boxes outside with the room keys. Each step was illustrated in an email of exactly what to do. It was my first time, and it was so easy! The staff also made sure I was able to contact them directly should I have any problem.
Very well situated, this hotel is a short walk (600 m) to the Independence Statue. This is where the Malta city sightseeing buses pick up (Valletta City Center stop). The main bus station is just across the street, where you can catch a ride to anywhere in Malta. If you move on past the bus station, you will find hundreds or restaurants and shops in the city center. There is also the Barrakka Lift, in the city fortifications, which will bring you 190 feet down to the Valletta waterfront and back for 1€!
