As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I had to change my room twice. The first room smelled so bad that it was hard to believe it had been cleaned. The second room had a lingering cigarette smell. In fact, the housekeeping staff came into the second room, smelled the cigarette odor, and confirmed it was indeed cigarette smoke, telling me I should change to another room. The third room, where I eventually stayed, had a slight odor when I first entered, but I was too tired of changing rooms to complain, so I just stayed. Additionally, the soundproofing was very poor. I could hear people in the neighboring rooms, especially the sound of doors opening and closing, which woke me up during the night. I also brought my laptop to use the internet, but while my phone connected to the Wi-Fi with no issue, neither of my two laptops could connect. The next day, at a different hotel, my laptops worked fine. Since I was tired from a long drive, I didn’t want to bother with complaining about the Wi-Fi connection and just decided to rest instead. Lastly, the TV remote didn’t have a button to switch to HDMI, so I couldn’t watch anything from my external hard drive. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
