The staff was very attentive but the room was odd. The door to the shower was clear glass so you could fully see the person showering from anywhere in the room. We had to use the futon sheet to block the view. The safe was beyond broken (parts were removed). The location was 2 blocks from the beach and walkable to restaurants and stores,

The room was very spacious and the location was perfect - close to everything in South Beach. The trolley bus stops almost outside which provides a free service along Washington Avenue if you want to explore more of the South Beach area. The hotel owners were extremely helpful and responded promptly to any enquiries we had.

Floor in the room was very uneven so there were many broken tiles. Generally the room and its furnishings were in poor repair. The room smelled faintly of mold; drawers on nightstands, nightstand lamps, and closet drawer showed water damage or smelled of mold; the air conditioner was extremely loud; the room fridge made loud clicking sounds constantly. The manager checked in, had someone bring additional blankets when there were none at the hotel. In fairness, I didn’t respond to his check in after the first day because there were no rooms I could move to, and the a/c noise and mold smell were not issues they could have solved immediately anyway. Bed was a thin mattress with noticeable springs, propped up underneath by pieces of 2x4s that made a lump in the middle of the mattress. The location was great—less than 5 min walk to the beach and beach walk, ~10-15 min walk from the south point park, close to shops and restaurants, but a few blocks from the noisier clubs and restaurants.

We stayed at Hotel St Augustine for a week. The room was exactly as the pictures. Very clean, cosy. The hotel is in a quiet area, close to the beach (6 to 7 min walk) and some little nice coffee/brunch. You have a free trolley stop just up front the hotel to go everywhere to visit. Staff is really nice and helpfull ;-)

The building is older and a little dated. Our room was very clean. The customer service was the best we have ever had at a hotel. They messaged me in the morning to make sure everything was going well and asked if we needed anything. We requested an extra pillow and blanket. They delivered it to our room while we were out. They messaged to let us know when the additional items were delivered. Very nice location. It is situated 1 block away from a bunch of resturants. CVS & Walgreens located 2 blocks away. At night, it was so quiet. I would definitely stay again.
