Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Got to the room and was overwhelmed by the stink of perfume. I’m not sure if it’s a carpet ‘deodorizer’ the cleaners use or what but it was revolting. The room had no way to open a window and let fresh air in and so we just had to breathe through our mouths until the time we left. On the ceiling of our room was a random purple sticker. Not sure how it got there or why. The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain and the toilet continued to leak after every flush unless you took the time to rattle the flush buttons or remove the flush button faceplate, jiggle things again, and replace the faceplate.
We were in the room for fewer than 8 hours, start to finish, as we had a long layover mid-journey to Europe. Overall, we were grateful to have showers and get some sleep, but the hotel experience wasn’t something I’d be in a hurry to do again.
