If you’re staying here in the off-season, just be prepared for limited services. I didn’t mind that there was no daily housekeeping, but it became frustrating having to constantly ask for clean towels, with none provided proactively. There were also no brooms or basic supplies available to keep the room tidy on my own. The hot tub was another disappointment—it doesn’t actually get hot, and when I asked, I was told it’s been broken for years. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and kind, but overall the amenities and upkeep fell short of expectations.

The first two nights the lights by the pool were not lit and it was extremely dark in that area. Too many cats. There was cat poop on the walkway to the room. There were roaches in the room. The shower had mold and mildew. The couch was filthy. Thankfully there extra sheets to cover it. I did like the spiral staircase

Okay so overall our stay at the Flamboyan was good. We stood here during the slow season so not a lot of guests and not a lot of staff. The views are beautiful, the property is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Our first night was seamless, check in was easy, Wanda was very friendly. The first thing we noticed was how hot the rooms were. The AC was at 62 but the heat was definitely unbearable. The taxi dispatcher (joseph) was nice but unreliable. Don’t expect to get a taxi after 7pm from him because he won’t pick up.And taxis typically come 15-20 minutes. WiFi was pretty nonexistent and there is no house cleaning so be sure to take your garbage out every night because you will get ants. We went to Root42 the night of my wife’s birthday and they sang happy birthday to her despite not having a protocol for that and gave us a free dessert. This was very sweet and lovely. We ordered the specials and they were tasty compared to the regular food on the menu. Our last night there the water/electricity shut off for 11 hours. Apparently this happens often, but no accommodations or announcements were made and the reception staff eventually went home leaving people sitting poolside with their luggage due to the heat. We were frustrated that we could not shower or do laundry and there was no one to speak to about the situation. The next day Barbra was very nice and went to each person and asked if they needed water and asked how we all slept. Despite that this resort was good.

All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, DeLoren, Ms. Barbara, Ms. Teddy, and can’t forget Mr. Drinky at the bar! Come here, if you want to stay at a safe, comfortable, clean and relaxing place, food is fresh and hit the spot! They will have everything you need and more. The views are exceptional as well as the landscaping. I plan on coming back!

My family and I spent five nights at the hotel. Three nights out of the five, there was no power or water. It was hot. You couldn’t flush the toilet, wash your hands, or use the Internet or AC. It was a nightmare. Runaway DON’T walk!!!!!

The restaurant had great food. There were tooo many cats close to guest. Shower had lime deposit which looks like shower wasn’t clean. Pillows and floor had hair everywhere even after we waited to be admitted into room.

My experience was a 4/10 due to the power barely working my whole stay. The only thing nice at this hotel is the view, I was there for 3 days and barely had power and water. The power and water will go out 5/6 times a day sometimes more which is very inconvenient when it’s hot outside. Literally had to leave my hotel or sit in there with minimum clothes. This was literally the worst part of my trip. Looooved the bar, that was my favorite part! I do not recommend due to power outage.

Had studio overlooking the bay. Beautiful room, comfortable bed. M/W didn't work and range difficult to use so maid brought hot plate. Did deal with a couple large cockroaches but guess that's common to the area. Front desk very helpful with info about the area and things to do. Restaurant had delicious food but no a/c, very slow service one night, other was fine. Cash only was a bit inconvenient but there is ATM on site. Resort is remote so you will pay extra in cab fare and some taxis won't drive there to pick up. No groceries nearby (store closed down). Steep walk down to scenic beach ($7/person to use Magens Beach). $6 taxi ride back to resort was worth avoiding the climb back. Plan to pay for taxis to go see anything unless you rent a car since resort is isolated from shopping and other restaurants. But is in ideal location for Magens Bay and has newer modeled rooms (due to 2017 hurricane)

We arrived and checked in fine. We went to our room and it felt like a sauna. Went back to the office and told the lady that checked us in that we had no electricity. She said yea, nobody does, they’re working on the generator now. Entire resort generator powered. Power on and off for the next few hours. Check in person no where to be found after 6pm. Asked person working on generator if we would have electricity that night. He said not sure and that new generator would be here tomorrow. I sleep with a CPAP machine. Electricity is not optional. Got on the phone and found a vacancy at Bunker Hill Hotel. Left key in room and left. Can not believe front desk person did not tell us about electricity when we checked in. Absolutely would not recommend Flamboyan to anyone. Will be contacting my credit card company for a refund.
