Well I just had the most magical vacation of my life! Let me just start by saying that I’ve stayed at a lot of all inclusive resorts, including multiple Excellence Resorts (Playa Mujeres in Mexico, and EL Carmen in DR). By far Excellence Coral exceeded every standard creating the most incredible vacation for my two year anniversary. Keep in mind that this review was not paid for or requested. This resort just deserves a ton of praise. Not only is the resort brand new, it’s absolutely stunning. The resort is modern, every space beautifully decorated, each restaurant feels unique, elegant and elevated. Attention was put into every detail. The grounds keepers were always at work, the resort is kept clean and glistening. The pools were gorgeous, wrapping the entire property, sparkling and well kept. The beach was raked and seaweed removed. The view…just heaven! Coming from a Florida girl this says a lot! With so many adults only all inclusive resorts, trying to chose the best one can be daunting. I write this review in hopes of making it easier for you. This is our new resort home. 💕 The staff go above and beyond with exceptional service! Food and drinks are exquisite and elevated. Plenty of activities to keep you engaged, but also a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The gym is brand new and offers plenty of equipment. Expedia will not allow me to write a long enough review to say just how great this place is!

Vacaciones de terror. Desde el momento que llegué empezaron los problemas, al escanear el código qr para descargar la app del hotel en la recepción, mi teléfono empezó a vibrar y a solicitarme el código de acceso para la carpeta segura, o sea estaba hackeado, tuve que restablecerlo a los ajustes de fábrica. Me dieron una habitación que no coincidía con la que expedia mostraba en la reservación, con camas individuales en vez de matrimonial o king, además de incómodas, la sábana de una de ellas estaba sucia. Como me quejé en expedia, me cambiaron de habitación, solo que en la nueva no funcionaba el servibar, todo estaba caliente y se fugó el agua de la tina de hidromasaje, me volvieron a cambiar de habitación, al día siguiente pedí a room service que me llevaran un sacacorchos y se metieron a mi habitación sin tocar, mientras yo estaba en la tina de hidromasaje, obviamente que los corrí a gritos, el último día estaba yo tomando una siesta antes de entregar la habitación y fueron a tocarme la puerta aún con la señal de no molestar activada. La comida es regular, pedí unas chuletas de cordero, que estaban bastante duras y unos camarones al coco muy secos sobre un puré de papa insípido. A pesar de que la mayoría del personal es atenta y amable, no regresaría, han sido las peores vacaciones de mi vida.

The property is looks amazing! Very modern, very well planned with centrally located restaurants and entertainment. Food was a 9 of 10, especially the restaurant, Magna. Rooms were very nice with great views. My only cons were: limited sink space, no ceiling fan in room, our room location. We were at the furthest end away from the pools, directly across from the theater (loud) and very near the housekeeping staging area (again loud at 8am)

Just returned from a one-week stay at Excellence Coral, and I can honestly say everything was simply perfect! Resort Grounds & Layout: The layout of the resort is incredibly convenient. The lobby and restaurants are centrally located, making it easy to get around without a lot of walking—everything you need is just steps away. The grounds are beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. Room: We stayed in a Club Pool View suite and couldn’t have been happier. The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a stunning walk-in closet, a beautifully designed bathroom, and a large balcony perfect for relaxing. Every detail was spot-on. Dining: The food across all the restaurants was consistently delicious. Pool & Beach: Both the pool and beach areas were fantastic. We especially loved the beach beds—they were extremely comfortable and available daily, which made relaxing by the ocean a breeze. Service: The service at Excellence Coral is truly next level. Every staff member we encountered was fast, friendly, and attentive. A special shoutout to Ricardo, one of the managers, who went above and beyond to address any concerns we had. He genuinely cares about the guest experience and made sure we felt valued throughout our stay. ⸻ Final Thoughts: Our week at Excellence Coral exceeded all expectations. From the beautiful grounds and exceptional food to the luxurious accommodations and outstanding service, everything was flawless. We can’t wait to return!

El servicio del hotel se ve afectado por realizar videos promocionales limitando el uso de sus instalaciones (Picina y playa).el servicio a la habitación se demora más de lo que te dicen y la calidad no es buena ,no cuentan con el servicio de buffet para el almuerzo ni la cena obligándote a ir a restaurantes lo cual se hace un poco lento.el área de fumar es una sola en todo el hotel y es una tortura bajo el sol.le recomiendo que a la hora de seleccionar la habitación se aseguren de precisar si pertenece al famoso club de Excelent de lo contrario te sentirás marginado e inferior, a pesar de haber pagado mucho más caro q cualquier otra cadena reconocida de 5 estrellas. No cuentan con variedad de de postres y el menú en los restaurantes es bien restringido.

I highly recommend this hotel. The beach was stunning and had reserved areas for Excellence Club members with beach service. All the restaurants were delicious but Raíces and Magna were definitely our favorites. The rooms were beautiful and our two story room with the pool was beautiful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Experience with a Few Minor Issues We had a truly enjoyable stay at Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres. The biggest highlight was the staff—everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay memorable. Samuel, our bellboy, welcomed us with a smile, and Federico took exceptional care of us each morning at breakfast. Their attention to detail and kindness really stood out. The food throughout the resort was excellent, with consistently great service in every restaurant. Entertainment was another strong point—there was always something happening poolside during the day, and the evening shows were fun and engaging. We especially loved the Cinco de Mayo celebration on the beach and the high-energy Pure Energy show. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom featuring a huge walk-in shower. The gym had all the equipment I needed, and the resort grounds were clean and beautifully maintained—sure to be even more lush in the years to come. There were a few drawbacks: a strong sewage odor in the walkway to our room (resolved by our last day), limited vegan/plant-based options which impacted a member of our group, and a dress code that felt too strict for breakfast and lunch—especially in 90-degree weather at a beach resort. Still, these were minor in the context of an otherwise wonderful trip. We would absolutely return.

My wife and I had an amazing visit with some friends to try out the new resort. Estephanie and Isreal offered fantastic client service! The Excellence club benefit was worth it, it even included a free spa treatment that was out of this world! Being new, I’m sure they are working through some food quality and cosmetics issues. Even with that in mind; I would highly recommend this resort and rate it a 8/10.

My husband and I booked a last-minute trip to Excellence Coral for our honeymoon, and it was a fantastic decision. We worried it was a risk to book a brand-new resort, but it was incredible from start to finish. The food was delicious -- I'm a vegetarian, and while the menus initially looked slim in terms of options for me, they always had a tasty meal available that didn't feel like an afterthought. They were always ready to help make our trip special, including several bottles of champagne, breakfast in bed, late check-out, and even a surprise dessert delivered to our room for my husband's birthday. We got the two-story suite with the rooftop pool, which was private and quiet with a beautiful view. The activities, like sailing, yoga, and art classes, were all very fun, and the gym was very well-appointed with lots of top-tier equipment. We were so impressed with how clean and beautiful this property was, and we can't wait to go back! It was the perfect place to unwind after the stress of wedding planning.

Overall a good new resort. Obviously due to it being new a lot of the staff is brand new and is still learning their job. So expect to have little issues here and there. Some of the things that I hope they change is for example, the buffet style food option is only available for breakfast. For lunch and dinner you are only able to attend restaurants. You also have no ability to reserve any ( besides one) restaurants but when you do show up you are typically told to come back in 30 to 45 minutes due to no seats being available. It is not a big deal but can be frustrating at times. The Revive bar during our stay did not actually have any fresh fruit or smoothies as advertised on their website. It was basically just another bar with alcohol and some fruit concentrate that they mixed with milk in a blender. Also upgrading to the excellence club and paying extra money seemed pointless since nobody seems to really enforce who actually goes to what pool or beach area. There are no bracelets. So even though we paid for the upgraded service I don’t feel like we got anything different for this extra payment. Overall I think resort has potential and with time will improve.

Omg where do I start !!!! From the walk up cold towel and champagne, to the friendly staff and specially Carlos, inviting and courteous, checked my fiancé and I in an hour early. And please if you are waiting stop and get some beef tacos you’ll be happy you did. And then to Israel our bellman was amazing. Then Francisco the pool bartender and Jesus the pool attendant that took our order. I don’t drink so he made me a beautiful pineapple moctail to the spa day my fiancé booked the staff there was exceptional. Our fav restaurant was definitely the breakfast buffet and spice the Asian restaurant. The grille was also exceptional too many service members to name but they were all and I mean all exceptional nice and pleasant. But to really top it off was Eduardo my fiancé came down with a scratchy throat because the of the room temperature was too cold for our liking even turning the temp up. He ordered some medicine for her and brought it to us while we were at dinner. You can’t buy that type of service we will definitely come back to visit.
