Lovely hotel in great position

An overnight stop with a four night stop to follow. Great position. No stairs at entrance. Lift availability to room as well as stairs. Reception area was busy with people checking in but flowed well and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved our room. It was across the street from the train station. We are seniors (ages 76 and 77) and the room had everything we needed to feel safe and comfortable. Staff were kind, friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel is close to restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. We recommend this hotel.

Train travel hub

I regularly stay here as the location is great for train travel. Friendly service, comfy enough bed. Breakfast is not the largest but is tasty. The interior feels a bit dated but is clean. Extra bonus is a free public transport voucher. The hotel is in two buildings so a bit of a trek if you are in the back building with some steps apart from the lift. That side also has some street noise. No bar, but chilled drinks in reception. Dog friendly, but not at breakfast.

Okay for a short stop

I needed a hotel near the station, and this was fine for a one-night stay. The reception staff were friendly. The room itself had carpeting, which I don't think is the most hygienic. The carpet could have been vacuumed more thoroughly, especially near and under the bed.

The hotel is satisfactory; it is clean and has a certain charm despite showing its age. However, one area that could be improved is the soundproofing of the rooms, as noise from the hallways can be disruptive. My room, although small, was located across from the elevator, which meant I could hear people waiting for it at night. This may be bothersome for light sleepers.

Hotel was conveniently located opposite the central train station. Lots of dining options nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning in the room. We travelled in late September so not especially hot outside but our room on the 5th floor was very warm during the night even with the windows wide open. Having the windows open also added to the noise from outside. There was a lot of shouting from a group of people who were in the adjacent alley most of the night.

A wonderful suprise!

I was very positively surprised by the Fürst Hotel Busmarcka, and I really had a wonderful stay there. Normally when I travel I choose to stay with well known high-eng hotel brands, but this time I wanted to stay close to the train staition as I was just in Hamburg for a quick visit and did not want to spend too much time getting to and from the hotel. I did not have the highest expectaions to this stay as I tend to find stand alone hotels often fails on product and service delivery, but this time I could not have been more happy with my choice of hotel! I arrived at 12:30 and an early check-in was offered with a smile and at no extra charge. Also, I was handed a three day ticket for public transportation as a gift. What a great service! My room was a comfort category room and it was spacious and nice, with a stately and well kept interiour. The room, and the hallways, was spotlessly clean, and eve though it is not a super modern hotel it just felt very welcoming and nice. I truly enjoyed my time there! The area around the hotel is quite noisy and I was bothered with shouting and sigarette smell from the street during the night, but it was not a big problem and closing the windows helped. I felt safe outside the hotel even though it was a little rough neighbourhood as it usually are close to a main railway station. The Burger Heroes on the same block as the hotel served the best late night burger I ever had. My best recommendstions to stay at this hotel!
