This was my best hotel stay in Zanibar. The staff was great and the dining service was so delicious! You can dine at both hotels. The body scrub massage is a must. The rooms was very clean and quiet. They accommodated my coconut allergies by going out buying me body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Beyond a beautiful setting, the staff and service make Mvuvi very special. Everyone is kind and helpful — including the drivers they use. They use a WhatsApp group to inform you of opportunities and activities. And a direct WhatsApp to organize transfers and answer questions. The breakfasts are delicious. I also loved the salt water pool. I stayed on the beach lounge side of the property in room 16 (up stairs) my colleague stayed in the room below (12) that had convenient walk out. Both had sea view.

Mvuvi Resort provides the perfect idyllic beach respite - it is quiet and relaxing. The staff were amazing - helpful and kind (and very accommodating when my outgoing flight got cancelled and I was rebooked on one leaving 5 hours later). I would love to come back!

I spent four relaxing days at Mvuvi Boutique Resorts in Kiwengwa, Zanzibar. The staff was amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the food was delicious. This is a great spot for unwinding after a safari or any other adventure. It was affordable and intimate. I also had one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Mvuvi and Zanzibar. Carolina arranged everything so easily and made our stay a relaxing one. All staff at Mvuvi make you feel at home. Views from the property are incredible. We will certainly come back for a longer stay next time.

This is the second time I visit Mvuvi (July 2023). On the positive side the new hotel is very nice especially the new swimming pool. The food is unfortunately not the same standard as last year and inconcistent. Sometimes very good and sometimes disappointing. The service is also too slow. I also believe the prices for excursions and watersports are too high. We did all activities outside of the hotel at much lower costs.

This was an amazing boutique property with pleasant and very helpful staff. With all that said, the only negative is the immediate area/neighborhood outside of the gate. The management should spend more to enhance the standard of the area and help the people living in that area. This would make it more inviting for guests like us who wanted to go fora walk the area.

Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative but we had a chance to enjoy the great food, the private beach and walk around the shore. I would probably chose to explore another area next time with more things to do around (not as secluded).

Beautiful scenic property. small boutique hotel that still has all you need. Chef customized our plant based meals every day and everyone was well-prepared and tasty. Staff are so helpful and kind. Watershoes being available are a big plus for the rocky areas of the beach. Only thing I missed was having a gym. Tried running on the beach but some folks try to sell you things and harass a little. They may be harmless but it’s awkward and hard to enjoy a run when you have to avoid those people. Otherwise we loved our stay there!

Grace and her staff made us feel very special during our entire stay. The intimate resort of 9 rooms exceeded our expectations. The food at every meal was outstanding..coming from foodies who run restaurants!! Every request was met with “yes..of course”. Caroline who manages the property proactively reach out in advance for car transfer service as well as organizing a snorkel excision day was perfect We could not have been happier with our experience. We will be back for sure!!!

This was a perfect boutique hotel - exceptionally pretty and with everything we were looking for. The rooms are just metres from the beach, the food is extremely good, and the team can't be beaten. Getting up at 3.50am to gift us fresh fruit for a trip was absolutely exceptional but in keeping with the service we received throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and they also went out of their way to make sure that they accommodated our (vegan) dietary requirements. Cannot recommend too highly.

When you book a hotel you always read reviews with a pinch of salt. This hotel has fantastic reviews and with good reason. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special. The staff in general are exceptional including the kitchen staff who turn out superb food time after time and catered to my wife’s vegetarian requirements admirably. Would we stay again? Yes, in a heartbeat.

Very small boutique resort in Kiwengwa which has direct access to the beach. The staff and service is exceptional and the dining and food was very delicious. The room is very rustic yet comfortable however it comes with minimal and basic amenities. My wife had two massages in the spa which were very relaxing. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a hotel in North East Zanzibar. The only minor hiccup was that I had purchased Half Board however, there was a miscommunication between Expedia and the Hotel and this issue was promptly resolved.

Communication was not the greatest with staff which made my stay a bit stressful. Cute property if you’re traveling solo, coupleor small family. Wouldnt recommend for groups. Amenities are limited. And the food is subpar. Luckily there are other food options in the area.
