My recent stay at Five Palm Hotel, Dubai, was marked by disappointment. Despite its good location, the hotel fell short in numerous areas. The check-in process was frustratingly inefficient, and the staff, while pleasant, lacked adequate training, leading to slow and sometimes non-existent service.
The advertised amenities proved misleading, with additional fees for all activities, even those listed as hotel amenities. Basic services, such as poolside facilities and drinks, also incurred extra charges, and the bottle service was exorbitantly priced. The absence of a poolside bar was a letdown, as was the hotel's unresponsiveness unless a table was reserved.
The room fee seems to cover only the bed, with everything else charged extra. I was even required to buy tickets to a beach event to use a pool. In summary, Five Palm offered an unsatisfactory experience with poor value for money. Future guests should bear these points in mind when considering accommodation in Dubai.
