Overall the rooms were really nice, the balcony had an amazing view, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and polite. The only teeny thing would be that the ac was not working properly. Would love to stay again!

Mixed Experience - Some Room for Improvement We chose this accommodation based on the photos, but unfortunately, the room we received on the first day did not match our expectations. The cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, was not up to standard, and the air conditioning did not work well. However, we appreciate that the staff promptly addressed our concerns by moving us to a better room, which was an improvement, though still not quite as expected. On a positive note, the workers were very friendly and helpful, doing their best to make our stay more comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is the location-it's quite far from the city center, so traveling there by bus takes at least an hour and a half.

Travelling to and from hotel is a bit ackward as either you take a bus which takes an hour to go more centrally or otherwise a train but with a very bad schedule (every 1or 2 hours).

Inexpensive, easy to get taxi to Vatican, and very helpful receptionist. Hotel is simple, traditional and basic. Be aware: zero sockets or USB charging points in room. Shower is very slim so can only partially get in in and water gets all over floor. Generally quiet area, some noise from scooters going past.

Recommended - good value if quirky.

Let’s get the slight negatives out of the way first. 1) It’s a LONG way from the city and is over an hour on public transport. (2) the decor is slightly tired (3) The televisions can be on a little loud in the downstairs lounges. Other than that - ITS WONDERFUL! We enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly, it was reasonably priced and value for money. I have seen the negative reviews - each to their own I suppose but there was little I saw to justify the criticism in them. So for me I’d definitely RECOMMEND the Colony Hotel given the parameters above.

Pleasant stay

We wanted somewhere that was accessible to the Stadio Olimpico in the northern part of the city and this hotel didn't disappoint. We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room. We had an issue when we 1st arrived but it was quickly resolved with the staff who are very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived quite late but were still able to get drinks. The rooms could do with a lick of paint but don't let that detract you from the fact the rooms and bathroom are very clean. There's adequate towels provided in the bathroom also. Only downside we found, there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast was €10 which I'd definitely recommend. A good choice and variety. The hotel is easy accessible on the buses into Rome itself. The bus stops are a 5 minute walk which was handy. It was a pleasant stay.

It was not that clean and smelled very bad. It was also very moist in the room and things that were dry got moist and smelled bad. The lobby was a bit strange and there was no music. The staff was ok but we were never greeted with a smile.

Pretty Rough

At check in: Parking was strange (you have to inform them every time you leave so they can lock and unlock a space), and we were charged again for a random city tax we had already paid when booking. Room: No air conditioning. Ad stated AC but we were told when we complained about how hot the room was, they stated that the AC wasn’t turned on until May 1. Bathroom: It didn’t have cold water at the sink and the hand held shower had to be “held by hand” (there was no way to hang it up) and the door was completely rotten. At the bottom. Staff: Only one of the two agents were friendly. Not very welcoming. Attached restaurant: Coffee bar was good but restaurant did not have anything available that was shown to us on the menu. Very disappointed.

A differenza delle molte recensioni negative io mi sento di dire che non mi sono trovata male. Il personale è cortese e gentile, la camera discretamente pulita, unica pecca un po’ “vecchia” di arredamenti, ma per il resto nient’altro da dire. Sono stata tre giorni per andare ad un concerto allo stadio olimpico che si raggiunge a piedi comodamente, sono circa 3 km. Anche la fermata dell’autobus per raggiungere la metro e le attrazioni principali dista a circa 500 metri. Colazione molto abbondante. Io lo consiglio

Personale al Check-in poco disponibile e abbastanza antipatico. La stanza non era il top, pulizia e struttura da rivedere. Struttura vecchia che andrebbe rivista ed adeguata. La reception è stata aperta tutta la notte, questo ci ha permesso di lasciare le chiavi lì e ritirarle senza problemi la notte. Posizione non comoda.
