Galle Face Green is worth a pic or two when discovering Kompannaweediya. Why not take a stroll along the beaches and watch the sunset while you're here?

Colombo is applauded for its museums and art with such cultural attractions as Sri Lanka National Museum and Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre. The city has something for everyone including its sports, cafes, and sights like Colombo Lotus Tower and Colombo City Centre.
I love Colombo. Clean, no litter, lovely people, interesting places to see. Must see: Gallery and cafe in Paradise Rd. The former office of Bawa, Sri Lanka's foremost architect. Many years ahead of his time. The shop and cafe Barefoot.

I lived in Colombo 50 years ago. On this visit and see remarkable changes. It is a very clean and organized city. There is, of course, more challenging parts of the city, but I see that a great deal has been accomplished.

Some of the best shopping is in Colombo. (If looking for housewares, small gifts or women's clothing). City itself not super interesting - if your goal is to see the natural beauty and cultural places that make Sri Lanka so special.

What I liked about Colombo city is that people were friendly and the roads were in a good shape everywhere. I would recommend installing "Uber Eats" app which could be handy to order food.

Cool place to spend 24 hours, but probably no longer than that. Galle Face Green is quite cool at night.

Well wort a visit...great shopping...and restaurant choices..and with some careful planning "great value for money"...we also spent 3 nights in Kandy and with a careful choice of Hotel a great place for a visit..
"Our housekeeper kept the place clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful and efficient. The restaurant staff were respectful, professional, and thoughtful in providing great service. The food selection and taste was wonderful!"
"The hotel rooms are clean and nice. The hotel cares about the environment and refills shampoo and soap bottles, and provides drinking water in a metal flask vs. Plastic water bottles.
Nice hotel in Colombo"
