Beautiful hotel but book with caution.
The hotel itself was stunning and the staff were extremely friendly unfortunately that’s where it ends.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable, we had hardly any sleep, and the bin men were outside our window in the early hours of Saturday morning around 4-5am. Knowing your hotel is an estate and the windows are of single thickness you would think an establishment such as this charging £150 a night would have the staff to wheel the bins to the end of the drive the night before collection away from your customers hotel windows to be collected as to not have your customers woken in the early hours of the morning to banging and crashing from the collections, from the shear lack of sleep we checked out after 2 of our 3 night stay which was extremely disheartening as this was a break away we had been eagerly looking forward to for months.
On top of this there is no daily room refresh, towel’s are not changes, tea, water or coffee pods are not refreshed.
Despite paying to stay in the hotel, you are also charged a service charge with all meals, I understand charging a service charge to guests from outside your hotel stay who attend your restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner but to charge an extra service charge on top of the charges we already pay for services to stay at your hotel….
