Casa Andina in Tumbes is an excellent hotel. It is clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly and always willing to help you with anything you need. It has an excellent restaurant and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The swimming pool is great and the beach close to the hotel is clean and the Pacific Ocean waters at this part of the Peruvian Coast are warm. The hotel is baby friendly offering baby meals.

The hotel is central, on a square and connected to the Plaza de Armas (about 3 blocks away) by pedestrian street. A good restaurant (Paprika) with Peruvian specialities. Next door is a shopping mall with large supermarket, ATMs and fast food options. I was on 4th floor, which also contains pool and bar - the bar was lively when I walked past and I was concerned about noise but the soundproofing was good and I did not hear the bar from my room.
The staff was really nice and kind, always making sure we had everything we needed!
The rooms were clean so were the towel and sheets.
The distance to the beach was really good and it was literally a private beach my family and I really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
The only downside was the powercuts on both days.
