We visit Michigan City quite often from Kentucky and we LOVE it there. Especially the beaches. We will continue to visit the area at least 3 times per year and we have recommended it to many people we know.

Michigan City is unique with a nuclear cooling tower in prominent sight of the beach and the outlet mall. We enjoyed the farmer's market on Saturday morning, but didn't see much else open before 10 a.m.

I grew up in Michigan City, Left in 1978. It has gone through many changes over time. Closing off Franklin Street, Reopening Franklin St., Upgrading the rail transportation. The influx of Chicagoans. I hope it grows into something great.

"Breakfast was an different choice each morning, and always good. The room was very clean and convenient. The hot tub was great, and the pool felt awesome after hiking during the day. The only downsides (and these were outside the staff's control for the record) were that I don't think the room refrigerator worked the first day or two, then seemed to kick in on my final night and that the hotel's dryer went out of order when I actually hoped to clean my clothes, but that's nobody's fault, these things happen."
"Room was good. The only thing I did not like was the barn door on the bathroom. Doesn’t quite give one the privacy they need. Also, as this is an accessible room, the towels were too high for someone in a wheelchair to reach. "
