We really enjoyed how walkable the historic area of Lexington is. We also took a half day trip to nearby Natural Bridge State Park and walked several trails there. The trail that actually runs under the bridge and along the Cedar River is beautiful,

Super cute Colonial town. Very beautiful. Loved seeing Stonewall Jackson's house and grave. Loved Boxerwood Park. Great place for kids!

When in lexington, go to Celtic Tides on jefferson street. What a wonderful shop among a lot of nice shopping in downtown.

Places closed kind of early, but were were there during the summer when college students aren't present. But, with the longer days, I figured dining places would stay open past 8 PM. There were some, but not many.

We went to the Animal safari park and had a great time. Lexington has great restaurants as well. Natural bridge was beautiful and a great walk.

A lot of "yuppie" type stores and restaurants mixed with nostalgic/historical. Quaint, definitely a place I would visit again.

Great little town! Friendly people, cute shops and restaurants. It was a bummer though, most were closed on Sunday.

Quite a bit of historical charm, with a few quaint shops. Also, modern stores and restaurants around.
"This hotel became home after a long motorcycle ride with some friends that day. The lobby was very nice, clean and welcoming. The pool was a perfect addition to the deal and the room was amazing. Everything was clean, comfortable and convenient. "
"Good variety of breakfast items. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Halls were clean. The road to enter the property was reduced to half a lane because of construction. The work was temporary but no signage indicating Holiday Inn Express was at the end of the lane. "
