Accra has so much history. You should take the time to learn about the history of the people of Accra. Understand their role in the slave trade both horrific and educational. Ghanians are kind people who take pride in being honorable and helpful.

Most taxis and Uber drivers do not have A/Cs, the heat is no joke. Please pack tons of sun screen and breathable clothes if planning to visit Accra. Lastly, transportation works on cash system, make sure to have the local currency.

Do not go to Jamestown without a guide - you can and will get mugged. I hired a guide on Uber for $10 for two hours and it was worth every penny.

The constant Accra outages are a government city-wide issue that needs addressing but roll with the environment

Drive if you're brave, get a driver if you are not. Ubers are also reliable and very affordable, but cars are small if you have a lot of luggage. The city and people are warm and welcoming.

I think Accra is heading in the right direction of development and keeping up with other growing cities. They have worked hard on customer service and it shows. I'm very please with how far they have come.

Accra is a beautiful city with lots of culture and things to do. The people are very friendly and nice
"A very nice resort that gives off a boutique feel with the chalets. Stayed at a junior suite chalet and absolutely loved it. It features a full sized fridge and microwave tucked away in a fairly sized kitchen space. Enjoyed the continental/buffet style breakfast as well. The staff was very courteous as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend and would stay again if I had the chance. "
"Staying at the luxurious Accra Luxury Property at Loxwood House is always an exceptional experience. The property is not only conveniently located near major facilities and attractions in Accra, but it also offers top-notch amenities that make every stay comfortable and enjoyable. The entire property is impeccably maintained — the rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean.
Guests can unwind at the beautiful rooftop swimming pools, dine at the excellent on-site restaurant, or stay active at the well-equipped gym facility. What truly sets this property apart, however, is the outstanding staff are always friendly, professional, and ready to assist with anything you need. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and hospitality"
