Lovely little town and very close to Ben Nevis. We also walked to the Corpach shipwreck which was lovely. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants and really friendly people. Perfect for a weekend away with the dog!

Amazing place for nature lovers, beautiful views of moutains, many hiking trails, and things to do around it, like shopping and seeing the Jacobite steam train, really worth it!

Fort William is not a pretty town but is a functioning town with quite a few nice shops, cafes and restaurants. We perfectly enjoyed it. The town museum was great. Definitely worth a visit and allow 1.5 hours if you can.

Love coming down to visit Fort William, especially in the spring sunshine. The 1 road in and out is poor planning though, a lorry broke down which added a significant delay to my journey as traffic was backed up all the way through.

Loved the Fort William area. We used it as a hub to go see many other areas but the downtown area was really very nice!

I love Fort William, I can always come back and enjoy it! It is a beautiful small town with lots of wonderful people and great history!
"We enjoyed staying at the Garrison. The staff were outstanding and breakfast was delicious and free! They had free snacks in the room and in the evening at the bar. I highly recommend. The only neg was the housekeeping put the clean towels they were going to put into the rooms onto the floor outside of the rooms! But did I die? Nope! I dried off on one of the towels and kept on traveling! I would definitely stay here again. Walk to dinner , overlooking the waterfront, superb friendly staff and free snacks. "
