I love this hotel so much that little could keep me from giving it 5-stars--which I have across the board.
However, 2 issues--one within their control and one, maybe not.
I booked this reservation on a third party site the day prior, but they did not have it when I arrived (even though I showed my confirmation #). I was informed there was a computer glitch--which would also explain the long delay to check in the guest before me.
When it was my turn, having already waited an inordinate amount of time, I mentioned that we were in a hurry to make a concert.
While the clerk was congenial, I did not get a sense of urgency on her part...especially when she then asked me to wait 15 minutes for them to fix the glitch.
That really disappointed me, and I reiterated we didn't have time to wait and please just get me into a room and let them sort it out later.
She checked with a supervisor, and finally we got into our room. But as a result we got the concert 30 mins late-- which was the thirty minutes that we had spent dealing with check in. *sigh*
As for the other issue, we had a wonderful meal in the atrium with an outstanding server. However, we got attacked with ankle-biter mosquitoes (as did both adjacent tables). Which is why I put this in the slightly out of their control category. My only rec would be possibly add citronella candles around that help ward them off.
It's unfortunate to bring up the two negatives, because it's STILL my favorite hotel in the whole world.
