Pretty but a bit lacking
First, this place is beautiful but kinda spooky. The room was gorgeous (spooky) but minimally furnished with end tables, chair, dresser, and bed. No desk or table if you’re planning to work while you’re there.
They were a little bit… too blasé? about directions to the rooms and their instructions were rattled off a little too quickly to easily follow if you’re brain drained from driving a long time.
I got there too late on a Sunday evening to eat at one of the restaurants so I ordered door dash. The dasher refused to come into the building (spooky?) so I had to go down and back up the stairs to get it.
The order came with no utensils so I thought no problem, it’s a hotel, I’ll call down and ask for silverware. They were short staffed and I was told it’d be 15-20 minutes before they could bring me one.
I was tired and not keen for a fourth trip up and down the stairs, so I waited. And waited. And no fork arrived. Too tired to raise a fuss or go looking for one, I used one of the plastic cups in the room as a utensil.
The bed and bedding were comfy and I slept fine, nothing spooky happened. But unfortunately the room didn’t really fulfill my expectations and if I consider staying here again I will review the room descriptions carefully.
