A clean guesthouse in a good position just off the seaward end of La Rambla. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Even though I cannot speak Catalan or Spanish, and they did not speak English, we managed to understand each other!

The staff were very friendly from start to finish. The room was basic but great and very clean as was the toilet and shower. Stayed with my Son for a 3 night stay. Right in the centre at Liceu, close to everything. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend it.

The price was acceptable. It is only a block from a main street with restaurants, entertainment, and transpartation. It opens on to a back alley and you have to go up 4 flights of stairs to get to the office and then another flight to the rooms.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
The worst place I’ve ever stayed at… only one member of the staff speaks English, the rooms were disgusting there were dust everywhere, the fan didn’t work, the beds were not even beds they were “camping” beds. The walls are paper thin so we heard someone snoring and it sounded like he was under our bed. I got some kind of rashes all over my back (probably from the bedding) and trouble breathing because of how filthy it was. It has now been a couple of days and my breathing and rashes are still bad. I do not wish this experience for anyone!

Good location
Very good location. Clean room and bathroom. No problems with warm water (I had read about that problem before our trip...) Some in the reception didn't speak much English, but kind and service minded. The best thing with this hostel is the location and how clean it is. Good places to eat breakfast at, in the neighborhood. Metro and busconnection very close. If you don't spend a lot of time in your room during your time in Barcelona, then stay here. We should definitely do that again.

It was supposed to be a not smoking hotel and the 3 nights we stayed people were smoking inside. I told the clerk but nothing really happened, the last night of our stayed we hardly sleep because of the noise and smoke

Rude and not accommodating
The accommodations we not what we expected and had to find a new place to stay. The advertisement online to book did not state “all steps” “no elevator” no air conditioning” I would like a REFUND and asked the owner he refused and now I will have my cc company handle this.

If you are a woman this is hostel is a NO. There are safety issues with the bathrooms you can be seen from several places while taking a shower and peeing. They have a broken window they refuse to fix. I had to upload a video of the whole thing. The attedant is nice and tried to fix the window but the blonde supervisor actually dismissed my concern stating no one lives in the other floors when i actually saw them and there's laundry in their balconies. Also getting up there with bags is hard they don't have anyone to help you. The doors don't lock properly very weird locks they have. I had to shower in upstairs in a very small shower i almost fell. Everything seems very clean but run down. Not sure why they don't make these repairs. It would save you these bad reviews. I left at dawn i didn't feel safe at all.
