Disappointing Experience During Our Honeymoon
We recently stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and our experience was far from what we had envisioned. The hotel is extremely noisy, especially if you find yourself allocated a room near the front entrance. The constant traffic from golf carts driving by late at night, coupled with loud music, made it nearly impossible to get a restful night’s sleep. Even when we moved to a room at the back of the hotel, we encountered the same issue; the thin walls allowed us to hear everything which was quite disruptive.
The situation took a serious turn when we discovered that approximately £450 of our money had gone missing. We reported this alarming theft to the manager, who assured us that he would review the CCTV footage. However, the communication barrier proved to be a significant challenge, as the manager, Fernandez, had limited English skills. This led to further frustration, as we had to rely on front desk staff to interpret our concerns.
Initially, we had requested an upgrade to make our honeymoon more special, but our request was denied. Ironically, after the theft incident, the manager offered us an upgrade as a gesture of goodwill. This felt insincere, especially since he acknowledged that thefts had occurred at the hotel before. Overall, we were deeply disappointed. The lack of security, combined with the noise and communication issues, overshadowed what was meant to be a joyful occasion. We will be filing a complaint.
