Great hotel near Paddington
The Royal Eagle is a great spot just down from the Paddington tube stop giving easy access to Heathrow on the Elizabeth line. They accomodated us even though we arrived well before check in time just hoping to drop bags. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. When you are there, visit the Bizarro Pizza just down the block - you will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff on our arrival. The hotel itself is a bit tired, our bedroom dresser a bit broken/battered, but...we overlooked this as the facilities were lovely and clean, and we enjoyed a good variety of items for our continental breakfast. The lady who served us was also very friendly! Couldn't fault it really, an overall nice stay, very convenient for us and catered to our needs. Would stay again.

I never expect a large room when I stay in a hotel in London; not for the money I want to pay. I've stayed in several hotels around the Paddington area and this, by far, is the best. The room was tiny, but it was comfortable and, as importantly for me, the staff were absolutely excellent.

Fine if you want to stay near Paddington
Does the job if you want to stay next to Paddington. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and hotel could do with a refurb but livable and fine. Even though the windows were closed there was still a breeze coming through directly to the bed, so it was very cold. And the beds at the other end were next to the radiator, so it was hard to find a happy medium on the first night for all of us. Bathroom and shower was decent. Overall it was a decent hotel and ok for families or couples.
