One of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve stayed. We did a hike which they packed us a lunch in a backpack for, then we spent the afternoon by the pool drinking cocktails. At night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was way better than our expectations. The room in the castle was everything I imagined a castle room to be but also had a good comfortable bed and soundproof walls. Special thanks to the bartender who also took care of the bags and seemed to be doing a bit of everything, also to the sommelier at the restaurant as well as the lady who owns this who walked around to every table at dinner making sure the stays were up to standard.

Excellent
This is an excellent hotel, and I recommend it highly to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The staff are incredibly helpful to the point of constantly addressing any need or desire that you have. The property itself is gorgeous and the village in which it is situated very nice (not to mention that the entire Pyrénées-Orientales département is an exceptionally nice area). There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel as well, which I also recommend to anyone looking for a very nice dinner. If I were to nitpick, the only negative of this hotel is that the WiFi connectivity is slow. However, with such a nice environment, that may be a positive!

Quirky hotel
This is an unusual hotel, and very quirky. To start with, it is quite a distance from the main town and is approached by a windy mountainside road which the locals may be happy to speed along, but I certainly was not.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but we were given one of their garden cottages which was very strange in design, cold, and actually had a damp patch in the corner. I have subsequently found that guests have complained about these cottages before now. It had a balcony which was overgrown and there was an abundance of mosquitoes, which made the balcony unusable. We complained about the damp in the room and to their credit, they upgraded us to a room inside the chateau at no extra cost, although we had to spend one more night in the cottage as they were fully booked. The room in the chateau was fine, I guess, having never stayed in an actual chateau before. It was like going back in time a couple of hundred years, very old fashioned and a bit odd. Not exactly to our tasting, but if you are looking for this genre, then fine.
The hotel has an adjoining spa hotel where we eat on the first night. This hotel looks better from a distance! Up close, again a bit odd and in need of lots of money to bring it up to scratch. We eat there the first night and it was ok. The second night we eat at the main restaurant in the Chateau and the food was amazing. We would recommend this hotel (NOT the cottage) if you were going to eat at the restaurant.

Unique property for a stay in the Pyrenees
This property is a chateau style hotel, quite eccentric in it's layout and location. We loved the experience and wanted to stay for longer. Nestled in the hills, amongst beautiful trees, sights and in the lap of luxury, it is very relaxing and the service is personal and attentive.
We ate in the restaurant after a confusion on what else may be open, and had a beautiful meal, and the breakfast was terrific in a quaint sunroom behind the hotel.
Our room was comfortable, but a little old fashioned with funny plumbing.

Beautiful mountain chateau
Lovely hotel in a beautiful position with good facilities and comfortable well equipped rooms. Beautiful room, very comfortable bed, pool area and gardens very restful and well thought out, staff pleasant and helpful.
Gripes: Breakfast on the first day was chaotic. It seemed as though the waitresses were trying their best but the management was lacking. There were not enough places to sit and the food (although delicious) kept on running out. For a 22E breakfast I expect a better spread of fruit/cheeses etc and a decent coffee. Sevice was much improved on the other 2 days. The food in the restaurant was good but did not warrant the high prices and we ate out for dinner after the first night. In particular the prices for the lunchtime menu were extraordinary - 50 Euros for a charcuterie/cheese platter. It was a shame as we would have liked to stay by the pool and get a light lunch in the hotel but this was just not possible
Pool on the roof is a bit odd as there is nothing else up there and when we tried to get drinks served there it took forever.
Would we go back? Probably not as we felt a bit ripped off on the food and drink prices.

Luxury in the mountains
Lovely hotel for a couple of days of extravagance. It has a small pool which seemed big enough (as it is not a large hotel. There is also a plunge pool on the roof which we didn't try. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace, and the lounges looked cosy if you're there at a colder time of year.
Dinner expensive but worth it - really very good with friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast expensive but we thought not worth it (€25 for continental) - much better value in one of the small hotels below.
