Sayulita was an attractive, walkable town with some great dining options. It had the feel of a formerly quaint town discovered by the masses. That has pros and cons.

A cute, bustling town with a great beach and delicious tacos. It would be even better if they made the downtown area car-free! (Maybe one day).

Such a wonderful place. For whatever reason beaches stayed kind of dirty from people not the ocean. The only thing missing was the early morning beach cleaning crew. Everything else made up for that.

I love Sayulita. It was my second trip. A small town with so many places to eat, drink, or relax at the beach.

Admittedly, we are surfers who enjoy more remote areas. The surf break was always full of surf schools with beginners.

I make it a point to always visit Sayulita when visiting Puerto Vallarta. Everything is walking distance.
"I don’t even know where to start. This was probably the most beautiful I have ever stayed. The decor is unique and relaxing. The view from the giant private patio is INSANE. The bed is sooooo comfy (I am actually currently in the process of sourcing the pillows and bedspread to buy for my home!). The location is one block from the beach and right in the middle of town and everything you could want to walk to (although super quiet with the patio doors closed). The AC was a life saver (I visited in the summer). The rooftop pool? OMG. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
I’m a woman and travelled ablond and felt completely safe the whole time.
I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again.

"This is by far the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in, so peaceful, so friendly, such great customer service, so clean and hospitable, loved everything about this place. Would always come back here."
"We have stayed here several times before and like that it is walkable to downtown and the beach, quieter than staying downtown and easy access to the bus station to get the bus to San Pancho, Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara. It is always clean and the staff are great. It’s always good to see Jonathon on reception."
"My husband and I spent 4 nights at this property in one of the studio rooms on the first floor. We absolutely loved our stay because of this hotel. We appreciate the easy check in and check out process. Our room was perfect for us two and plenty of space. We had a wonderful view and loved that the pool was as nice at is pictured. Although we didn’t make use of the kitchenette area, our room was equipped with everything we would have needed to prepare a quick meal in our room. Absolutely enjoyed our stay at La Esquina. "
