Welcoming atmosphere. Arrived on the day the king and queen were coming to visit, so there were lots of ribbons decorating the streets. We stood with the crowd awaiting their arrival, but the drove by at such a fast speed we barely caught a glimpse.

Chiang Mai is a great respite from Bangkok, Pattaya, or Phuket. So a great night life, but also can be quiet and peaceful away from the main spots. It's hot, so be prepared for heat, but the food is amazing, the people are friendly, and low prices.

Chiang Mai is a refreshing change from Bangkok. It has everything you need, but it is much less crowded and noisy than Bangkok. It is also very walkable to visit the main attractions in the city. Also the food is Northern Style, and very good.

It's casual and relaxed, but there are dozens of things to do and see. The Wats were fascinating, but so was the huge Sunday Market, and the live music everywhere. Just outside the city the elephant sanctuaries and mountain retreats were lovely!

We loved Chiang Mai, it was a refreshing change from the business of Bangkok. We did lots of walking around and sightseeing. We hired a taxi Chai to take us to the temple on the mountain and a tuk tuk driver Nan to take us around the city!

Chiang Mai is now my favourite town in all of Thailand - what a clean, beautiful, picturesque, town full of markets, temples, things to see & activities! Highly recommend the one day trip to The Sticky Falls & Elephant Sanctuary!

Was a much bigger city than we expected. Plenty to see and do. River cruise was good and recommended. If at a quiet time, Tuk Tuk trips around the city are good and we paid 50B per hour which was an excellent rate.

If you go solo, use grab bike, as it's the fastest and cheapest way to move around. So many temples to see in the mountains and around the city. Food market at the South gate gives you plenty to choose from.

"Best hotel in Chiang Mai! We come here almost yearly and this is one of our faves! Spring for the club room with the free dinner and drinks - it’s worth the extra!"
"I really enjoyed my stay the staff were excellent. The rooms were nice. The breakfast buffet was really good.
A couple things I didn’t like was you had to pay to use the safe in your room. I also wish they had better dining options. They had a very limited menu in the restaurant. But other than that, my day was very good."
"It was a wonderful base location for our visit to family. The connecting rooms were convenient providing private spaces when needed. The staff and service was wonderful. Would definitely stay there again."
"Fantastic hotel if you want something special in Chiang Mai. It’s modern, clean, stylish and comfortable. Excellent choice of food, amazing staff - nothing is too much trouble. Great location too for walking to local markets and temples. "
"Arguably the best hotel in Chiang Mai. Very comfortable and well-furnished rooms, excellent facilities, and friendly and attentive staff. Buffet breakfast is a highlight.. "
