Stayed a year ago and re-booked for this year. Just one night stay, but the service is excellent, and we would like to have a longer stay next time. Our host is very helpful, and the breakfast is just what you need. Our room was comfortable, and the bed is lovely. Might bring the dogs next time to enjoy the countryside.

Our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel and we are already booking for December where they have lovely open log fires just adding to the surrounds. Ian also delighted they have relaxed the lounge menu which can now be eaten at tables. Quite right too so great management decision. Their main menu is a wonderful 5 courses but if staying more than a day then it’s nice to have a more relaxed menu choice which this time we had. The Hotel is nice if a little bit dated in places. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was nice and good value and it is in a great location for exploring the town and the Brecon Beacons national park. We paid £47 for a Sunday night which was exceptional value. At this price, you can overlook the hotel being a little tired in places.

This is a small niche b/b hotel. Everything about it is excellent, the difference is the breakfast which is provided in your room via a small but fully functional kitchenette. This hotel was a lovely surprise, highly recommended.

We booked for 3 nights B and B from 28th May. The location was easy to find and we had a choice of two rooms. Both were large double bedrooms with duel aspect views over the local area. We choose the one with the views over the front of the building and the hills beyond. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us tea and biscuits on arrival. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The later had a stand alone bath with taps and shower head on a...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Brecon
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to explore Brecon is in January, October, and December, when hotel prices may drop, offering lower prices for those on a budget. A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal for discovering the town's rich heritage, including its historic gardens, cathedral, churches, castle, and other cultural landmarks. This budget-friendly period ensures great value for money while providing ample opportunity to enjoy Brecon's notable landmarks, history and culture.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For Brecon, you may discover attractive offers by exploring Dealsopens in new window or checking Last-Minute Deals on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel rates near your travel date could be found. Additionally, you can enable email alerts or push notifications to be the first to know of flash sales and special promotions. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see an opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary due to factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. Being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Brecon hotel. Boutique hotels, offering a more personalised experience, could also provide better value for those seeking something unique. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes at a higher price. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the places you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
