Farm-to-table restaurants and craft breweries line Broad Street, offering Southern comfort food between adventures. Most attractions sit within a compact 6-block radius, with free electric shuttles connecting major spots. The historic Chattanooga Choo Choo terminal stands proudly among craft breweries and the family-friendly Creative Discovery Museum. The weekend market buzzes with local energy that feels both creative and authentic. Farm-to-table restaurants and artisanal coffee spots occupy industrial spaces with exposed beams and soaring ceilings. Boutique hotels in converted historic buildings offer industrial-chic aesthetics just steps from the Tennessee River waterfront. The district's wide pavements and shuttle routes make exploring this artistic hub a breeze.

St. Elmo
St. Elmo charms visitors with its well-preserved Victorian-era homes and historic buildings dating back to the 1800s. Car-free zones make exploring a breeze whether you're visiting Creative Discovery Museum or catching a game at AT&T Field. Courtyard by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown
"Great location!"
Homewood Suites by Hilton Chattanooga - Hamilton Place
"The cleanliness, the suite has everything like the comfort of home. You could genuinely rest after a day out. The breakfast was also nice. Enjoyed the entire stay."
Hotel Clemons
"The room was spotless, and we even managed to play a game of ping pong and pool. Unlike most places we’ve stayed, this place is clearly an apartment building that’s been converted into a hotel. It’s well-maintained, and we’d definitely stay here again."
The Hotel Chalet at The Choo Choo
"I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! From the beginning of my stay until check out I was well taken care of. This Hotel is one of the most unique places I have visited in a long long time. I really thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Best shower high water pressure EVER!!"
Moxy Chattanooga Downtown
"We come here from a little over an hour away - for sort of a staycation. We have two terriers that love to come to this Moxy. They get so excited when they come into the lobby. So much of Chattanooga is dog friendly. And with hot weather, we worked our way around the heat of the day and managed to do lots of things. The place is very walking accessible to so many restaurants and other things nearby. And the staff is super. Always has been. We’ve been coming here actually since the facility first opened, I think in 2018? Same year our terrier brothers were born. So they’ve been coming here for the lifespan of the hotel, and themselves as well. Due to some health challenges, we haven’t been here for I think a year. A big break for us. But a great trip back, and felt completely welcome and at home when we got here."
Embassy Suites By Hilton Chattanooga Downtown
"Very Clean, excellent staff, and prime location downtown."
Sonesta Select Chattanooga Hamilton Place
"Staff was very friendly! This was our first time traveling with our new dog and they were great. Pet fee was reasonable. Room was great! Breakfast was amazing! I would def stay again!"
Baymont by Wyndham Chattanooga/Eastridge
"The stay was generally good, but the first room was not clean. I found stains that I couldn’t quite identify, but they could have been from feces or urine of a dog. I took pictures of the stains and one of the outlets, which was burned to the point that the wall appeared charred. I reported these issues to the front office, and they promptly changed me to another room. This new room was acceptable. I appreciate that I was able to bring my pet, but I’m not sure if I’d choose to stay here again. Maybe, but if there are other options available, I might consider checking them out."
Hotel Indigo Chattanooga - Downtown by IHG
"The place was great and walking distance from restaurants."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Chattanooga
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Chattanooga is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To fully appreciate the city’s key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural wonders, it’s advisable to stay for at least 2 to 3 days. During your visit, you can explore attractions such as the aquarium, breathtaking waterfalls, scenic mountains, and the beautiful river, as well as enjoy local seafood, museums, excursions, and art. This timeframe offers great value for money, allowing you to immerse yourself in Chattanooga's rich history and vibrant culture without overspending.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover enticing hotel deals in Chattanooga, explore the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find reduced rates as your travel date approaches. To stay updated on flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. This way, you're more likely to receive timely information about price drops or room availability. Additionally, utilise Smart Shopping via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you make informed choices for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Chattanooga hotel. If you're interested in a unique experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans towards the higher end, we may suggest more economical dates that could help you secure a better rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Chattanooga's superb public transport links, you may discover more affordable independent hotels located a bit further out that remain well-connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known towns nearby, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
