The beach is incredible, one of the nicest in the Dominican Republic. The pools, rooms, food, drinks and coffee house were very good. Our butler also was a gem and answered all our questions, made dinning reservations and even walked us to different areas of the resort. My wife and i enjoyed our stay very much.

(about 1 1/2 hrs. from PUJ) Not so crowded yet, so staffs recognize most of guest which was very convenient and made services are pleasant all the time during my stay. Many issues: lots of doors in the pool area don't close or lock properly, ordered room service that didn't arrive twice, housekeeping staff did not acknowledge the "no doorbell/do not disturb" lights (or use the doorbell at all). The buffet breakfast and lunch were good but the restaurants were hit or miss. The app did not correctly reflect which restaurants were open. The resort is definitely still getting its footing.

We enjoyed the ocean. I’ve had room problems. Willing leaking from above bathroom and 3 of our 10 days stay were in bad conditions. Food not as expected. The only place you can eat as soon as you go was the buffet. At restaurant we had 2 hours waiting and received food already cold. Best place to eat was at restaurants at preferred club location for both Secrets and Dreams resorts. Stuff has no experience but some of them are really trying hard. Really onest , the resorts ( secrets and dreams- at Playa Esmeralda) don’t deserve the price we’ve paid.

We recently went to Secrets Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic to celebrate a my mothers 70th birthday. My entire family felt completely welcomed and taken care of once we entered the doors. This was our first time visiting the DR, and it turned into a trip we'll never forget. The resort is absolutely beautiful. Everything from the rooms being spotless with an amazing view. But the beach simply AMAZING! The water crystal clear, just peaceful and beautiful. What really made the experience so special was the staff. But there was one person who made it even more, Stephanie. She was there for us every step of the way. It's hard to put into words just how much love and attention she gave us. She didn't just do her job-she genuinely cared for my entire family. Stephanie made us feel so welcomed, and made us all feel like part of the family. She truly made a big impact on our stay and in our hearts. This family vacation was a beautiful memory. If you're thinking about visiting, do it. This place is stunning, the beach is unreal, and the people make it all worth it. Thank you Stephanie and the entire staff at Secret Playa Esmeralda

My family and I visited the Dominican Republic for the first time and stayed at Secrets Playa Esmeralda. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and beautiful tropical views. From the blue ocean and mountain landscape. Just WOW! My family and I decided to upgrade to  Preferred Club, and the attention from every member of the staff was excellent. It truly elevated our experience. But there was one person, in particular, who made our trip extra special, Stephanie. She was incredible. She was so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She was always making sure everything was right for me and my family. What made her stand out was how genuine she was and the care and love she poured into everything she did. It never felt like it was part of her job to go above and beyond for us. It felt like it came straight from her heart. She truly made us feel at home, and she made sure that our first time in the Dominican Republic would be nothing short of AMAZING. Her great energy, beautiful personality, and sincere dedication left a forever impression on my entire family. Thank you, Stephanie, for making this trip so special and memorable.
