Shap Wells Hotel
"Room was clean Staff - excellent Breakfast - Good (staff struggled to do their job). replenishments were slow."
Riverside Hotel
"The hotel is in a great location. It’s fairly central (not far from the railway station and shops/eateries). If you’re travelling by car, there is a free, covered car park (a bit of a tight squeeze for larger cars). I would say the hotel is fairly accessible. Our room was on the lower ground floor (there was a stair lift) and was large with a great view of the river. There was an over bath shower in the good sized bathroom. I didn’t notice air conditioning but we weren’t staying in hot weather and didn’t need it. We ate from the buffet breakfast on both mornings and there were plenty of good quality items. The filter coffee was good. All the staff we encountered were cheerful, polite and helpful."
Westmorland Hotel Tebay
"Room suitable for those with pets. Although we didn’t bring one. Food in restaurant very good. We will return"
Castle Green Hotel In Kendal, BW Premier Collection
"Beautiful hotel, clean with, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast."
Stonecross Manor Hotel
"Very nice place to stay, they are doing some renovations so looks like it’s only going to get better"
OYO New Inn Hotel
"We had a lovely big room with good facilities."

The Green Dragon Inn - Hardraw
"Lovely room well equipped. Comfortable bed. Quiet night good nights sleep. Surrounded by nice places to see and walks."
Stone House Hotel
"Every member of the Stone House team were polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. They all went out their way to make you feel welcome and a valued guest. The hotel itself was very well maintained and clean . The standard of food throughout our stay was excellent ."

- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a better deal on your stay at a hotel in Hawes. For those in search of unique experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. - Consider your location: Opting to stay near key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more reasonably priced options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further afield, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
